How did Harden do with Jeremy Lin another playmaker who needed the ball to succeed.

Note: there is only one ball.

Jeremy Lin sucks though. It's very logical to get a playmaker who can shoot, when Harden is in he spots up and when Harden is out he creates for the team. On a night where Harden is off we are not doomed and on the nights where Harden is double teamed we are also not doomed. Rockets need another playmaker to be contenders imo.

On very rare occasions, they did play well together when Omer was the starting center. Jeremy could run the pick and roll at times with Howard too.

Lin was inconsistent and shaky, otherwise he would have still been here along with Harden.

    Is he retiring?

If not, I think it will continue. Superstars save their teams asses all the damn time. It's why they are considered superstars.

It's ridiculous that DMO doesn't get at least 12-15 FGA each game while Smith just shoots whenever he feels like it.

yes in the post hes more efficient than harden... hes always able to get himself a good shot (and he hits em at great pctg) not so with harden... and when whistles are silent harden is useless and counterproductive...

whatever that was not the point... the point is we already have great players on this roster but we are not placing them in position to suceed...

juts take for example smith, dwight and dmo all these players are used improperly and not to their strenghts and even layman can see it...the way they are coached and played is harming the team as well as the players themselves...

we have Dwight who is almost useless and many times is harming the team... i have no slightest doubt POP would win several titles in row by playing Dwight to his strenghts and coaching him properly...
Besides, we have Harden, we have DMo, Pop would do miracles with this roster... we dont need more good players we need great coaching or at least average coaching....

spot on! its so ridiculous it cant be even put into words...

perhaps DMo price would skyrocket if they play him to his strenghts so they would rather hamper his development than pay him the max money...

Maybe because he shouldn't have to do that for us to beat a 15-win Pacers team without Paul George or George Hill. I love watching Beard go video game mode as much as the next fan, but the reason he has to do it so frequently sucks.

Why not aren't they a professional nba team. Have you not see elite team lose to bad teams. Have you not seen the greats score 40+points or more against scrub team before. Harden done his job.

Lately you have been complaining about almost everything, finding a flaw in whatever the Rockets do. Maybe you should take a chill pill and just enjoy the season.

Doesnt matter that the Pacers were in the game despite what Harden did. A win is a win....wonder what you were crying about when we blew out OKC who is a MUCH MUCH better team than the Pacers.

What is the question making us think about?

Harden was elite offensively with Lin on the team.
However, Lin is a backup to Ronnie Price, so it doesn't answer the question of how Harden would perform next to a 'ball dominant PG' who can actually play basketball - but one would assume that if he can perform at an elite level next to a scrub who wants the ball a lot, he can perform at an elite level next to a starter who has the ball a lot.

Of course... good teams lose to bad teams all the time. That doesn't change the fact that I personally think relying on Harden Heroics to beat an average to below-average team has happened waaaaay too many times this season. I still think our biggest weakness is the lack of a second playmaker who can facilitate when Harden sits, so that he doesn't *have* to come back and singlehandedly carry us to the win after we've built a 20-point lead with just minutes left to play.
