    Another ugly game.

JO would kill Howard and Taylor.

YAO may be fouled out again. This guy enjoys helping defending guards but ignores defending C that he was supposed to do.

With JJ left, YAO has lost ball touches and ignored at the offensive end.

That has nothing to do with his inability to establish position, right..

A small picture of the Rockets. Similar to the Championship years

I'm not sure about the Pacers' jerseys.

The Houston Romans are restless and demand a big game from their Chinese gladiator Yao Ming.

Yao misses his first two shots. Then he never gets thrown another pass again for the rest of his game. Tinsley penetrates at will. J O' Neal completely abuses Howard. Yao plays too much help defense and collected 6 fouls in 19 minutes. Yao manages to get 2 offensive boards for a 2-4 FG tonight. Rockets gets blown out 101 - 75.

Welcome to the 2005 Houston Magic!

crude and misinformed...if he's really lost his balls, he wouldnt be getting posterized all the time, he'd just let them dunk it without bothering to get in the way.

Were you to say, he sucks, then hell yes

Wow ... I thought postgame knee-jerk reactions were enough, but apparently the "Houston Haters For Yao" have turned to preemptive excuses.

I actually empathized when Francis and Mobley were here, but now I'm starting to wonder when our guards will be unselfish and untalented enough for these people. Maybe if we sign Bashful, Sneezy, Sleepy and Dopey to start, then bring Grumpy, Doc and Happy off the bench. I mean is any non-Yao shot attempt a threat to Yao and his fans?

In the last 3 games, Yao is averaging 9 points on 43.5% shooting, 7.3 boards, has amassed 16 fouls and has made only one pass for a score. One assist. Hopefully he'll turn it around tonight, but your excuses are lame: Yao is not playing up to par right now.

Agreed...hopefully, it will change soon. I think it will.

He is going through a rough stretch. I think the Nachbar trade kind of affected him also.

I think the Rockets will win against the Pacers, and Yao Ming will have a decent game.

Clutch, I have too much respect for you to get you into an argument that you won't like. Not so much respect for some of your crew members.

Yao has played terrible for the last three games. He deserved lots of the blames. However, I also saw opponent coach did their best to expose Yao's weakness, and I saw nothing from JVG and Sura to take advantage of Yao's strength.

Don't tell me JVG does not know how to beat a fronting defense. Maybe he really doesn't.

JVG is never going to tell Sura to pass the rock, since he was so busy praising his energy last game.

lately, since the trades and all, we've seemed to be a "live by the 3, die by the 3" kind of team. At least, that's what it looks like statistically to me. Last night, we died by the three. I think tonite, we won't need the 3, but we'll hit it if neccesary.

Besides, the Pacers play in the Leastern conference

    ROX WIN

Big man's game is different from the guards, they have to be set up by the small guys. Given the fact that Yao doesn't have in in him to demand the ball, it's the coach & other players job to look for him, get him the ball. Am I trying find excuse for Yao? Not at all. I wish he would yell & slap the heck out of any player who doesn't pass to him when he is open. But, it is not happening, and it unlikely will happen in the future. Yao's performance on both end of the floor seem to be greatly effected by his involvement in the early stage of the game.

A sign of a mature team is the ability to have a good game plan, and stick to it. But not many teams can do that even at this level. Players tend to give up plays, look for the easy way out when they don't have success in the first a few plays. Yao's involvement is a typical example. Go into most of the games, everyone knew & talked about going to Yao more and often, but when Yao failed to deliever a couple times, then he won't see the ball again. I'm not saying players are selfish, (which they are), and intensionally ignore Yao. But there is a tendency to look away when they had trouble early. It's the coach's job to emphasize & enforce the excution according to the game plan. It might look bad for a few plays, maybe even cost us the game, but if you trust your player, stick with him, it usually works out at the end, get rewarded over the long run.

Too bad, coaches get paid based on the winning/losing NOW, not anything down the road.

Rox win (101:95) tonight. All 3 pionters are falling in. Don't expect Yao to have a big game though, until JVG's game plan changs. We are a "live by 3 die by 3" team now. Sura is your hero again tonight because his 3s are falling.

Yao gets more exposure than Paris Hilton. Guys on this board need to lighten up with all the Yao threads. Kind of getting monotonous.
