It's good to see him hitting some jump shots, and played better than past few games. But the team lost, you can't say he wins the battle. It's a 5-men team game, what's the point that he scored high FG% than his opponent center? There is mismatch in most games Yao plays. You can't over match opponents in every position, so you win together and lose together. Comments like that after a losing cause, are really baiting for trolling.

All I wish from Yao is that he will learn from his mistakes and get better which can give us hope for the future.

Amazing, first time in my life hearing CCTV' s commentor bash yao ming."if I were his(yao) teammate and he miss two shots and turn the ball over three time in a row, I would not pass him even he is open".

other funny staff. before the game, one of nugget's cheer member and the trademark lion are invited to join the show. The lion may think it is china and it is a wide broadcast show, so he take that advantage and kiss the hot dancer, she seems ittle upset about that and the same commentor just embrassed the lion(he is about 7 feet , So the lion can not move and take it).

The spare parts didn't click, end of story. Sometime they are going to be hot, sometime not. It is your stars that must be consistent. TMac usually is, Ming isn't, but tonight he was better. He still makes some really dumb mistakes.

This team looks alot better when they are uptempo. It seems to coverup some of their shortcomings. When they go half-court, they really bog down. They look tired. The defensive intensisty was not consistent. Gee, those open threes have been killing the Rockets recently. They seem to always go in.

Give it up, Charvo. Admit it, you're actually a YOF: you desperately want Yao on your own team -- which happens not to be the Rockets. Given the frequency with which you try to foist Odom+Mihm on us, my guess is that you live in L.A.

I watched the game in Canada, and I believe the commentators are Rockets' ones. Can someone tell me who's that guy with strong southern accent? He seems very calm, relaxing, objective, and NOT a special homer. I normally can't stand those homer commentators.

Van Chancelor, coach of the Comets. He has taken Calvin Murphy's place this season.

Yeah i was wondering what happened to Wesley's jumper as well. Based on stats alone, he hase been horrible since being traded to the Rockets. He has had like 3 decent games and one good game but other than that he has done nothing. I still believe that the trade for him was a bad move. We need a more consistent 3td scoring option and JJ could be that (atleast more so than Wasley has been).

This is what I have said many times about TMac, he has too easily settled for the 3pt shot. Yes, he made a lot of 3pts during the 4 game winning streak, but his strength is more in penetration, attack the basket, set his teamates up. He might have some great shooting nights from 3pt line, but he has had terrible shooting nights as well.

The bottom line is TMac is only a GOOD shooter, not a great one. When you rely too much on your 3pt shooting, it will hurt your other parts of the game, attacking the basket, which is his real strength.

Attack basket is 2 pts, injury prone, the only advantage is may foul other team's player out.
BUT not every team 's bench players and starters have such big gap likme rox. Besides what impressed me most is, other team's bench players can handle rox more effiecntly so far in this season.

I don't get your logic here. Are you saying TMac should settle for more 3pt, instead of going to the basket, because it's only 2pt, and he would risk of getting injuried?

Yao played well. Anyone who laid the blame for this loss at Yao's feet needs to take a look at the folks who can't seem to make an open 3 now.

I think I saw Wesley look over his shoulder at JVG after he missed a 3 pointer.

The facts are the Rockets consist of guys who are not wanted by other teams except TMac and Yao. Everyone else is a castoff. I have no delusions that this team can beat stacked teams like the Mavs, Kings, Spurs, and Grizzlies on a consistent basis. Of course, there will be times when the lineup is on fire, but the poor depth along with poor talent base is a recipe for inconsistency.

Wesley has got JVG-itis. Barry is a white guy who lost his shooting touch aka Matt Maloney.

    Tmac 's stat this season.
    fg 0.421
    3 pts 0.341
    then 0.341/2*3=0.5115>>0.421
that means they guy is more effienct at 3pts. why not let him shot more?

I have deemed Los Angeles as the best destination for Yao due to a few factors.

    1. Rudy T
    2. Vlade Divac
    3. better 3 point shooters (Cook, Atkins, Jumaine Jones)
    4. much larger Asian population base (Yao will be in his element)

I don't have joy in seeing a good guy like Yao die on a vine. I liken the situation to a crop that cannot grow in a certain region but can bloom in another region. Yao cannot develop in Houston due to a variety of factors beyond his control.

With that being said, I have proposed the Herschel Walker scenario since I think the Rockets can reap a whole lot in a trade with Los Angeles. Is that a crime to think there is a way to make both teams better? For the folks who think I am nuts to consider this trade. Who thinks Yao will flourish on this team? The dude will not develop with JVG. JVG is not as bad as Larry Brown as far as developing young players go, but he's close. This is why JVG always picks veterans on his teams. JVG has done a horrible job with developing Yao. I never thought he should have went the brute strength way. Yao should have stayed with he felt comfortable with being. Heck...he created his own shot from the perimeter tonight. He attempted it once, and he made it. How many more did he get after that? Zero. How's that for developing a player? JVG is good for TMac though. TMac is flourishing.

Yes, it is a five men game, but I would rather to see our young stars playing good to even lose than to see some other old guys spark to win.

JH can have a big game once a while, sura can have a big game once a while, so what, we want to see Yao and Tmac are always ready to go to the court and take over. That is our future.

Our goal is not to defeat a team like Pacers or Grizziles, our goal is to build up a final team or even the champion team around our young stars.

At least tonight , yao and Tmac proved us some future.

Yep, looks like DW and JB finally got integrated into the offensive scheme by Coach. You know, throw the ball around the parking lot and then miss the shot or turn it over, that offense.
