Plus improving our odds of picking 6th by 6%.

Worst team has a 47.9% chance of picking at 5. 2nd and 3rd worst teams just spread that 47.9% out, unevenly, over picks 5, 6 (and 7, for the 3rd worst team).



We WOULD give ourselves a 33% chance of picking at 6 or 7, in that scenario (compared to a 20% chance of picking at 6, currently) -- which is not great.

This system does a pretty fair job of disincentivizing the tank, I think. There's an incentive still, of course, but worst record still is way more likely to pick at 5 than at any other single pick..

I've always had the impression Silas & Jaygup don't get along at all.
Playing Nix over him was a middle finger to Gup the whole season

 

I fell asleep during the 4th. Glad we won but sad Sengun didn’t get a triple double.

 

This is one of the dumbest wins of the Silas era. Like wtf. Just needlessly screwing up our pick.

 

Jalen Green as the focal point with the other guys playing their respective roles is the route forward to winning consistently.

We would have been. Now the Spurs have the ability to pass us.

 

This is literally a no.1 pick or bust draft. Im not really following the prospects this year, but I don't see much of a difference if we pick 6 or 7

It starts falling at 7. The only 2 potential superstars are VW and SH imo. VW is undoubtedly the highest tier player.

 

I don't know man, I think he's Awakened into his final form. Maybe I'm jumping the gun tho...

Glorious victory, but how the **** do Rockets scorekeepers give Sengun one block when he had at least 3?! ****ing assholes not doing their jobs man.

 

I'd say Amen Thompson definitely has superstar potential. Nobody I've heard from even questions his potential. He actually has better raw physical talent than Scoot. The questions are more, what are the odds he gets there versus the odds he's a bust.

I definitely agree that there are major "cliffs" after #2 and #7 though. Wemby and Scoot are clearly better than anyone else in the class, then once you get past 7 you're past "roleplayer with all-star potential" and down into "probably just a roleplayer" territory.
