The Rox have a team option for Deke next year at 4 mill. I think it's a no-brainer move. That's about going rate for a good backup center, and it's not like the Rox will be under the cap next year. It also adds another expiring contract to Baker, Moochie, Spoon and Wesley. Not that I would necessarily want to trade Deke or Wes, but it's nice to have those options if a blockbuster deal presents itself.

    Karl aftergame quote from ALT

    1. He thought the team did good job on TMAC but later Tracy just blow out his team.
    2. He said YAO/DEKE are doing great job to defend the paint and force DENVER slow down. Yao play good and DEKE at his best

    3. he was wrong on ROX, He thoguht Houston is well-balanced team but he said he was wrong: it's TMAC's team.

I think that's a decent deal for the Rockets. Cato was getting 7-8 mill

1996-1997 when we went 57-25. the 1999 team won 31 of 50 games and could've had a shot at 50 in a full season but 97 was still the last time.

It was a remarkable win. The Nuggets looked great in the first quarter with their fast breaking ,trapping and quick rotations on defense and were getting to the line with ease. Miller was penetrating and passing and they were making outside shots. Their youth and athletic ability was hurting us. But when James and Deke came on things changed. Our shots went down and defense went up. T-Mac played very intelligently. He passed the ball around initially and then heated up with his shooting. Yao looked he was going to score quite a lot inspite of the good defense but he did very well with his rebounding and blocks.
A very fine win against a very hot team, perhaps the most important one of the year if we clinch the 6th spot.

Knocked the ball out from Boykins hands while sitting on the floor...only if you are 7'6" LOL

No player is perfect. Everyone has shortcomings. But Tolbert keeps using the few shortcomings of Yao to knock him. I call that hate.

I wish this was true. All the salary website have Deke as a FA next year. What is you're source for this?

4 best moments of the game, IMO.

Motombo finger sexing 'Melo after Kmart's putback.

    Barry's skin slide

JVG throwing the ball onto the floor after Bowen's bad pass.

    TMac's ferocious dunk.

It's just you. What does Yao have to do? How about holding your own against Shaq, the most dominating player ever? How about the behind the back dribble under pressure while driving to the basket? How about BATTLING in the low post all season long (and you know the kind of physical plays teams subject Yao to) while you watch from the comfort of your couch?

Skillful but not athletic sounds as bad as the back-handed compliment of Yao having such a 'soft' touch.

It means he wishes Carmelo could do half of what TMac can. :)

Deke is making like 18 mill but the Rox are only paying 4 of that. The Rox should offer him 4 mill and I pray that no other team matches the offer, he still has game and could help some teams. We got 23 RBs out of the position today, man Yao and Deke are a two headed monster. I think Deke is in JVGs plan for the playoffs and is going to see some serious minutes.

Grizzillies just lost to the Spurs while keeping the Wolves playoff hope alive. Wasn't MemphisX who said his team will have the better record then the Rockets on his sig? He must be crying now....:)

George karl is falling asleep in that video. He got his azz handed to him by JVG. One of the best outcoachings of the year (if that's a word)

Good news is that Rox can keep the sixth seed, but bad news is that it may move up to the fifth.

Props. If Yao had Shaq's body, no team can play the Rockets.
