I don't care what they say about this game .. this was a statement game. Denver knew it and ROCKETS showed it.

This was a great game and I am ready for the playoffs ...

SA, SEATTLE, or DALLAS ... does not matter at this point. Everyone talks how noone wants to play Dallas or SA.

After this game... I am sure noone wants to play Rockets.

    GO ROCKETS!!!

We have 32 assists, 11 blocks, and shot 15-24 behind the arc, just amazing!

Nobody is dreaming that Yao is as athletic as Amare, or Hakeem was... they're just wondering why Tom is bringing this up now, while the guy is making plays all over the court while his team is currently killing the hottest team in the NBA.

If Yao had the athleticism of those guys, he'd be the greatest player in the history of the NBA. But, what he doesn't have in athleticism, he makes up for with height, hustle, and some nifty skills at the offensive end (and a growing affinity to blocking shots at the defensive end).

Tolbert was clearly going out of his way to try and point out something negative about Yao when its not really a relevant point to the game, or his effectiveness overall this season.

Its like saying "Peyton Manning can pass and all... but he doesn't have any athelticism to rush the ball like a Michael Vick." Who the hell cares... it won't stop him from becoming a dominant player.

How about criticizing guys like Melo, who have bad games... and then compound them by sulking and refusing to pass.

"The visiting Nuggets, the hottest team in the league headed into the playoffs, got incinerated in Houston, which won its fifth straight in convincing fashion on Saturday, 115-87. Final"

gotta like this quote on espn; incinerated (how sweet it is)

Something missing from him? How about greatness and talent? How do you even dare compare Carmelo with TMac or Lebron? tracy has supreme athleticism, ballhandling, shooting and vision. It's kind of like saying: Let's see when Jerry Stackhouse becomes Michael Jordan

i thought he was trying to be nice and point out that it's not yao's fault he can't make some plays because he'll just never have that athleticism/agility at his height. like don't expect him to be so amazing b/c he's going to be limited just because that's how it works when you're 7'6. apparently others saw it differently.

That was awesome, how funny. Just as he was saying it Yao made two great plays. What a 2 headed monster at center. Yao played great in limited minutes. He couldn't have been more efficient.

exactly, even if it's true that melo doesn't seem to get the whole sharing thing, he's not even in the same universe as guys like tmac, kobe, and lebron when it comes to physical skills like size, speed, explosion and athleticism. and that's not to say melo isn't tall, fast, and athletic, but he doesn't compare to those guys.

oh damn, just hit 6000 flat on the post count. got there quick from 5000.

I have been saying this all along in the past a few weeks., Nuggets is overrated. Yes. I actually watched them play a lot. They are not a tenacious team at all. They are momentum team, which plays well with big lead. They had soft oppositions during their runs. I expect them to be out in 6 in the first round if they dont play Sonics. Melo is a cancel when he is selfish.

I just like our defensive stance tonight, pack the middle, swarm whoever catches it. Had Nuggs or Melo recognize not bone headed drive to the paint, it would still be a game. Those guys just fell to the trap, made very poor decisions.

When Cato was traded, thus breaking up the best center (or center+PF) tandem in the league, I was quite disappointed, but once the chance at getting Mutombo arrived, I was elated...for Wilks, Piatkowski, and Griffin.

Now that was Weisbrod-esque! I honestly think that was more a steal, but no one talks about it because of the great year that CHicago is having.

I felt Mutombo was washed up after being whored around Philly, New Jersey, and New York, but I still thought he could contribute maybe 15 minutes a night and a block or two, maybe a few rebounds here and there. I had NO IDEA he would hustle as much as he has...he makes his opposition look SILLY out there. The rebound he got while sandwiched between TWO Nugget defenders was MIND BLOWING! He is such a hard worker...absolutely the best performer in SINGLE-HANDEDLY changing the game (outside of Shaq and Yao at times).

I just hope this will won't stop (think about what I typed for a minute there).
