I don't think it's fair to judge the Nuggets by this one game either. Hopefully they will get their act together and win at least a couple of games from the Spurs. But today you see they will crack under defensive intensity. They have no shot against the Spurs.

If/when Carmelo grows up enough to become a superstar like T-Mac, LeBron, Wade or Kobe, the Nuggets will be very tough. But there is something missing from him. I can't put it in words but he doesn't have the right attitude. You can see it in his body language when he faces adversity: He gets discourged instead bearing down and becoming more determined. I wish Carmelo well, but his best role may be that of a second fiddle instead of a superstar. But he obviously thinks of himself as a superstar.

Game over, all the starters out and even Deke is getting a rest. Amazing game by the Rox, they came out on fire and contributions by everybody. Musberger finally answered my question, Mooch is back on the roster and VB is out for the playoffs.

this win reminds back in the mid 90s when we started out 14-0 and then like 17-18 ...we went into Atlanta and got our asses handed to us

every good run has to come to an end ...

Seriously guys, T-Mac needs to stop embarassing opponents like that, because it just reeks of showing-off. He should remain humble and stop scoring and making passes/shots etc.

    NOT!!!:D

Even JVG smiled...man, this is something.

The BIGGEST ass-whopping this season, seriously. And when it counts too.

I guess we all know where the Rockets will be next season, assuming all are healthy and ready to go. League biatches, better watch out!

Can't wait to watch NBA Fastbreak and NBA TV recap and other things.

This is the MOST fun I have had watching the Rockets EVER, and I am not even exaggerating.

Who wants to bet that ESPN still ranks the Rockets around number 7 in their Power Rankings even after a drubbing like this?

Carmelo does not have the talent like T-mac has. T-MAC is just super , unreal..best.

you people act like tolbert is wrong and yao makes athletic plays all over the place. he was mostly talking about yao on offense where he's not going to drive by anyone or do things quickly. and he's right.

yao dunking and getting a steal on the ground are awesome but not athletic (skillful, not athletic) and he didn't say he'd never block another shot. calm the F down. maybe it's just me but tolbert doesn't seem to have any problem with us.

that being said, damn this was a fun game. for some reason reminds me of the UT/OkSt football game this year where we got down big and then just beat the hell out of them with highlight reel play after highlight reel play the rest of the way and it just seemed like a party instead of a game after a while.

TOtally agree with both of your paragraphs. Nuggets have only lost 3 games after the All STar game right? And yeah..so they've been good. But yeah Spurs can match up with them very well.

And Carmelo definitely has an attitude..he definitely thinks he's a superstar..yet he can't provei t. He needs to work hard and improve if he wants to prove he is a star.

How does this win which makes a five game win streak compare to the not mid 90's but '93 since it happend at the beg. of the season which we won 15 in a row but still dont see how this win compares its at the end of the season and we whooped the hottest team in the league.

    Interesting...

T-Mac in the post-game interview said that the Buckner hit was a "cheap shot".

I told you guys it was intentional.

But even that didn't stop the Macster.:D

We were 15-0... and the Atlanta game was a back-to-back right after the dramatic victory in NY.

Yea, the run had to end for the Nuggets... but I must say that they looked just like the team we saw before Karl got there. Selfish, all talk, no defense, and just not smart basketball.

Carmelo needs to get his head out of his ass, otherwise he'll be traded from that team in a heartbeat. Frankly, I'm suprised Karl left him out there as much as he did... his only offense was trying to split double teams, and he failed miserably at that. Is he incapable of passing, or does he not trust his teammates?

Theres defintely a weakness at PF but I think we have a team that can make some noise come this year. Maybe not a favorite but I'd say most analysit etc.. has Houston as atleast the 4th best team in the West.

Just ride T-Mac's greatness and pound the ball inside to Yao. He may not be the dominant player yet but he still commands double teams which just makes everybody else better on this team beter.

They have a good shot lets just try to avoid Dallas early because I have no idea how they can guard Dirk other than putting T-mac on him and that would just take away from his offensive game.

Bring on seattle and lets see whats happens.

I hate Tolbert, he just doesn't give Yao enough credit, like all YOH he'll rip Yao if he has a bad game and not respect him when he goes off.

As far as Yao's athleticism, you know I know everybody says you can't become a better athlete, but I think he has become a better athlete or at least he has much better stamina which is helping his speed and explosiveness. He is a markedly better player than last season and earlier this year.
