I think the Rockets have held 10 of there last 13 opponents under 90 points. Gotta give the love to Battier and Rafer for that.

    Un-F'n-believable...

Great game and team flow/chemistry...I haven't had a chance to see Carl Landry play and Scola for that matter, but I'm lovin' how they hustle and create...

    Nice win!!!
I really feel that if we had Yao, we would have win it all this year!!!
Anyway, next year, we are going to be scarier!!!
    Better Landry, Scola and Brooks!!!
We will have a new player that we will take from the FA.

Nice win especially since they were challenged and down early. They came back to blow them away. It was great the last two games without Yao but the team was never challenged. I wondered how they would respond without a double digit lead in the first five minutes. They did great. I was very proud.

    Very very very encouraging.

The loss of Yao, as strange as it seems, makes me like this group of guys more...because I know what they have to overcome.

The thuggets are simply dumb as can be. The possessions where they went inside and posted up, there was nothing we could do to stop them. But that team is so frickin r****ded and with such horrendous shot selection that luckily they never persisted in exposing that mismatch.

I fear that against teams like Utah, Spers, Fakers this will not be the case on defense. And on offense as well, we are now left with only Scola as a legit post up threat inside.

Down the stretch of this season it is going to be very difficult for us to win against the other top teams in the conference with this roster. Not to mention, Rafer and Battier will have to continue playing well over their heads just for us to stay competitive.

Trying to show up the greatest shot blocker in the game with a finger wag shows how much you suck. He is 41 years old and he still owns you. You are scared to go int he paint and when you do your shots are crazy for fear of getting a face full of ball.

    Loser.

What we loose without Yao is offensive and defensive depth. Deke fills in defensively, but he's only good for 20 minutes right now. This team should be awesome next year. Even after we win it all this year. :D

Shaq was an intimidating presence on defense. Players knew if they were going in the lane they were probably going to hit the floor. Don't even compare Yao and Shaq offensively. Shaq is probably the most dominant inside presence the game will ever see. Noone thought the Lakers were better without him. As for Yao hes not the inside presence Shaq was. In fact half of his shots are from mid-range. Yao does draw double teams, but hes not a good enough passer to capitalize on them. Many of his passes get deflected or are thrown to his teammates' ankles, and these are the little things that throw a team off their rhythm. I think we're better offensively without Yao because we get a much comfortable rhythm. Players stand around less and we actually have to move. We're also a better defensive and rebounding team since Mutumbo is a beast.

Anyone else here were wrong in their opinion of Bobby Jackson?
Granted, he hasn't scored much here (although he did score 16 in his first game here), he has proven to be a valuable and solid backup point guard. He's just as quick and fast as Mike James, can shoot pretty well and drives better than most of our guards. But unlike MJ, he is willing to give up the ball and actually plays well with Tmac
The fact that he has been able to gell with us and even Tmac so quickly reflects the culture of winning that this club is starting to develop. Everyone outside of Houston may have counted us out, but I believe that this team still has the confidence of an underdog with nothing to lose-thats a good sign. And the fact that Tmac is healthy now and has apparently done a 180 in his attitude and approach to the game, stepping into the vocal leader that we've always wanted to see in him, is another good sign, and probably the most important one.

I said Yao isn't good as the LA Shaq. But he does the same things for us, as Shaq did for the Lakers, and what Tim Duncan does for the Spurs. He's just not as good as those guys were. But he does draw double and triple teams, don't tell me he doesn't do that. How do you explain him getting fronted all the time, with somebody waiting behind him. Teams couldn't do that recently because we're hitting outside shots and Scola and Landry will hit shots when they are open.

I agree Mutombo is a much smarter defender than Yao and he is a better shot blocker, but remember, he's 41 years old!! He can't play 37 mpg even if he wanted to. He doesn't draw double teams. He doesn't get to the free throw line. How are we then better on offense.

Everything we are doing is harder now, because its going outside in, not inside out. Look at EVERY championship team, even the Bulls. Their star players operated from the post a lot. Jordan could beat you from outside or inside, but you need a post presence to win. Even if its not a great post player, you can win. Look at Rasheed Wallace with the Pistons, or even Mark Agguire from the Bad Boys Pistons. You can't win without some type of post presence offensively, its just too hard. Why do you think the Suns and Lakers got Shaq and Gasol, cuz they weren't going to win without a post presence.

We have the 2nd best post player in the NBA today, behind Tim Duncan. He isnt' as dominant as Shaq in his prime or as good overall as Duncan, but he still gets us 25 ppg, 11 rpg, and 2.5 bpg, and 3 apg, when healthy.

The ball is moving better now, and the shots are falling, but ask Golden State,Toronto, and Denver how successful they have been being a jump shooting team...If we're hot, it looks great. But in the NBA, its hard to shoot over 45% consistantly, without getting wide open shots and an inside presence. When our offense becomes stagnant, we have to hope and pray that Tmac will drive to the basket, thats our only hope. Wait til we play some better defensive teams and see if we are better without Yao...

You seem hard to be satisfied. Life will be a lot more fun if you don't ask too much. But seriously, 15 winning streak, the best in the league, tie club record, what more do you want to ask?
