Great team win! We have the personnel to run Adelmans motion offense very well. Landry and Scola are an incredible upgrade at PF compared to years past. Lets keep this going!

The Jazz because of the fact they have the division lead. Utah has the worst record of the Top 5 teams but can't fall below a 4th seed because their division title.

Too embarrassed to drag on this argument any further? That's fine. We dont' want to stink up the post game victory with stuff like this anyways.

I'm not talking so much about whether or not the Suns make the playoffs. I am talking more about our lack of big-bodied frontcourt players to match up with Shaq and Stoudemire.

Deke will likely struggle more than Yao with either of those two guys.

I imagine we will use Hayes and Deke to try to match up with those two.

I would love to see the Rockets go out and try to snatch up one more center.

The biggest thing that has impressed me is that we have been on this winning streak without Yao and T-Mac having to go for 30+ night in and night out. Even with Yao out, T-Mac is still able to just be a cog in the machine.

Another thing was how Denver really prepared hard for us and were touting this as an extremely important game to saver their season. They apparently had one of the most serious practices of the year with George Karl himself stepping in where he usually allowed his assistants to do the job. They scouted us extensively. They even made mention in the game about how they made a point to know where Carl Landry was because as Kenyon Martin supposedly said, "That guy is no joke." They came out with a focused defensive effort unlike any I have seen from them in quite some time which was tailor made to shut our offense down and we just dismantled them.

At the half I felt we had won because they came out determined and focused on defense yet we still dropped 50 points on them and had held them to 40. For a team that doesn't play defense, that is something that is disheartening and makes you want to go back to the things that you feel are your strengths which for them is attempting to outscore people. The Rockets took them out of their game. George Karl is attempting to do something that can't be done...change the identity of a team 2/3 into a season.

nuggets are one of the worst team oriented teams i have seen.

maybe it was just exemplified today but they have no team chemistry

    and scola owns.

if the season ended right now, we would play utah... given yao's struggles against the jazz, maybe we are better off without him (thats if we match up against utah)... tough stretch of games coming up, but i like our chances. our team is so versatile, we can go big/slow, big/fast, small/fast.. lets doooooooooooooooooooo it

They are the perfect example of a team with a ton of talent and no chemistry. It's amazing because they have been together for the last few years and actually have been to the playoffs together so it's not like they're a new team. Well, technically. They didn't have Kenyon Martin last year.

Another great win by the Rockets! An overall great team effort. Tmac continues to do a great job of getting his teamates involved first, to make the game easier for him later on.

I wonder if NBA "experts", such as Stephen A. Smith, still believe the Nuggets are still too talented not to make the playoffs. I hope he, and other people finally realize that its not always talent that get teams wins and gets them somewhere...

Its about defense, intensity, team chemistry, ball movement, and having basketball IQ. Denver doesn't have many of those things. To me, they are no better than the Hawks. Very talented and athletic, but they don't do the little things as a team. Najera and Camby do little things, but the rest of the team doesn't, therefore they aren't getting anywhere.

They may still make the playoffs over Golden State, which would be the GREATEST street ball team in the world, but thats not saying a whole lot...
I don't have nothing against Denver, I just have something against "experts" saying the Rockets CAN'T make it to the playoffs over them, its just ridiculous.

Also, I wonder when people are gonna start giving Melo the Tmac treatment for not getting out of the first round. He's hasn't even accomplished nearly as much as Tmac has, individually or as a team. He hasn't even been close to winning any of his first round exits. Tmac at the very least took his teams to 7 games against teams that went deep into the playoffs. Just something else to think about...

Portland is a talented and dangerous team. They almost beat the Lakers in LA and then a week or so later beat them in Portland. Now they're giving the Warriors fits down in Oakland.
