would like to see harden playing off ball, without spacing and coach blaming him for everything...he run away from a lot better situation...

He better get Wemby & kill in free agency, if he doesn’t, soon there will be nowhere to hide. The Rockets will have been horrible for years with nada to show for it. It takes about this long for the national media types to catch on. Then you’ll FINALLY see heat in the kitchen.

Some basic thoughts with some silver linings during a difficult time to be a Rocket fan.

Sengun on offense at least even if his touch is off is still providing a positive impact on offense with his playmaking and finding cutters with a third eye on the back of his head.

Tari seems to be following KMJ trajectory of being a really useful role player.

Jalen Green has really improved his ball handling and passing from last season. It's more of an indictment of the lack of a competent pg with experience on this team but Green just might be our best passing guard on the team even though he also has the worst shot selection out of the entire team.

TyTy legitimately looks like he will be a competent pg in the NBA with more development time.

Nix had an actual okay game?!?

It was really nice to see Jalen back. I agree his ball handling has improved, and actually, I think it's true for Jabari too. I know everyone had HUGE concerns about his ball handling, but lately he seems pretty comfortable with it, even if he's never going to have Kyrie handles or whatever.

Seeing Tari make those KJM cuts for Alpi is really great. Between that and the DHOs with Green, I can't wait for KPJ to come back and space the floor better for Alpi as a catch and shoot threat.

Shoutout to TyTy and Nix though, both looked solid.

I think the real issue right now is defense. It's killing morale to give up 3 after 3. The problem is 90% scheme and 10% personnel. The first problem is guys are guarding up way too high on non-shooters, getting blown by too easily, and then we have to help/rotate. Our centers are helping in drop coverage, which is issue number one if we don't have guys fighting through screens. Essentially the centers are just play 1 vs 2 while we have a guy slowly trailing behind a big on a roll. The only option then is to help from the strong side, so we give up a ton of open corner 3s. Even when we try to rotate from the weak side, it's too late and our guards are too small to help on rim runs regardless. Then if the ball gets swung, we're fried because no one can rotate beyond the first time. It's... yeah. It's bad. High school JV level bad in terms of execution and scheme.

On nix . He's gotten more hate than he deserves because of that "lottery talent" quote from stone and because he's gotten more PT than a player of his caliber normally has (true for most guys on this team (

    He is big
    He can dribble

Yes his size with being a somewhat competent ball handler(though he's more turnover prone than even Green or KPJ) is a useful trait in the NBA. He can use his strength somewhat like Harden to bully ball some points in the paint.

The hate for Nix on here is ridiculous. He's so far removed from what is wrong with this team...
