Ok so to the couple of people that said we are better off without Artest or Alston or both...

Really?? So now that Brooks is starting the coach will have no choice but to put Battier on Billups. True and chances are Battier will do better against him than Alston, but what do you do with Brooks on the defensive end??? When Brooks is on the floor he does have to play defense on someone and anyone else will just be bigger and stronger than Billups. And to the guy who said we would do better without artest...well that doesn't deserve the run I have already given it.

The fact is the Nugs are playing top tier ball right now and we are not, at least not with any consistency. The Nuggets also have several big guys to throw at Yao. I think our best chance is to have TMac at point as much as possible with battier on billups and artest hopefully on Melo. I think the most important person in this game is Scola. TMac never has a problem with getting people shots, and Yao when not being pounded gets his. So if Scola can hit the shots and force the interior to pay attention to him we will compete. If not we could be out the door in a hurry.

Keys to this game are mostly defense -- Rockets must disrupt Nugget offensive flow and Yao can't be a non-factor (because of fronting). Artest may have to play to help with Billups because Battier will probably have to guard Anthony.

Of course, offense has to work, too... and that is the Rockets Achilles heel right now. Too inconsistent.

    Hope for the best. ;)

The statement, "Too inconsistent," is rather generous when referring to the Rocket's offense....

Billups is going to school Brooks if RA decides to make him the starter. Francis is probably too rusty to get anything besides scrub minutes in a blowout, have to go with TMac at PG to win this game. Tmac at PG makes him a better fit with Artest if Tmac concentrates on being a playmaker first and a shooter second. Tmac is as good or better a playmaker than Alston.

Do not know if we can win this game, the coach should be able to figure out a starting line to win the game. One thing is clear that the rockets will lose the game if he decides to play Luther with 20 plus min. The past has demonstrated it.

As goofy as the Rockets are, they will probably win this one. I don't why, but they probably will.

I'd be willing to bet that (if Brooks starts) it will be Brooks on Billups.

I agree, that Battier on Billups suggestion was made by an earlier poster...

that's why i'm hopeful they find an answer to the fronting defense... yao (and team) needs to do what he did in the golden state game... when they fronted, yao sealed his man and went to the weak side where he was able to get the ball more easily

We are so inconsistently consistent, that I don't know if we'll win or lose. But because I'm a homer I will bet on the win. ;) T-Mac comes up big 30 pt performance.

The stars have aligned to give SF3 a chance. If he doesn't get a chance tonight then I don't know when he will.

Wafer being hurt, he still might be healthier and more ready to play than Francis (if I had to speculate). Shows that Francis still has a ways to go.
