Man, you must have a really, really, really low expectation of TD to be praising him for putting up 4 pts, 1 reb, 2 asts, 1 stl in 15 minutes of game play and saying he helped the rockets keep in the game.

Being passive is not in Lin's bb DNA. He's always been known to be an aggressive and fearless player. From high school, Harvard, D-League and Knicks. Here he is in Houston and being told to defer to Hardin no matter what. Is Lin getting mixed messages from the coaching staff?

As the 6th man at OKC, he wasn't being guarded by the other team's best defenders.

Guys, it's clear that Harden was too tired from all the tricking at the strip club.

Correct me if you would, but I do think Mchale's approach is to win now, given his tenure here is limited. The current rotation and strategy is based on that as well. By mid season Morey will decide whether he wants to just give up or trade for another key guy. On the game itself, not a bad 2nd half to be honest.

He's on full trollmode, don't mind him - he is capable of maintaining good sports conversation but he is raging.

As ugly as we played the Defense was good. We had a chance to win but the "Manimal" Faried ate us alive. His 9 Offensive boards, mostly in the 4th quarter killed every run we had. We kept it pretty close, around 4-6 pts but he alone out-hustled the whole team.

I think Tjones would've played well against him. Tjones is strong and is a good rebounder. PPat was good offensively, but he never boxed out once.

Mike Antonio is the answer for this team.

He will free Lin and all our rookies.

Lin only 2 TO? no wonder they lost... that means he wasnt driving the paint enough to create plays

Actually Lin averaged 14 and 6 all of last year. Thats including when he rarely played, Linsanity, and when Woodson took over til his season ending injury

I think Lin needs to improve his mid range game and it would make everything else so much easier. He seems to be good at breaking his man down and getting to the freethrow line area but instead of pulling up for the jumper, he try's to take it to the hoop. Now I admit he does have some sweet looking layups but often he runs into a bunch of trees or turns it over. He honestly needs to pattern his iso game to that of Westbrook from okc with that nice pull up j. He's not that good at finishing around the rim although he does draw fouls which is nice.

With all that said I think Lin has a lot of potential. I think a lot of the mistakes he's making are just him being a young player. But he does show that great court vision and ability to keep his dribble in traffic. These are special traits that many point guards lack but at the same time the things Lin struggles with right now are really the basics of the game.

This is good news as it is much easier to correct your jumpshot and learn better team defense then some of the things Lin does extreamly well. As he gets more seasoned the game will slow down for him and I think we will see atleast a dragic like production.

Well strangely, he was able to finish at a astonishing rate last season. There were statistics for when he was close to the basket, and he finished at a great rate. I don't know what happened but he is unable to finish even when he is able to blow past people this year. Also, he's not getting the whistles like last year.

He had a reliable mid range jumper that he pulled up for when he drove in last year. It went in at a great rate, and made the defenders sag of him since they didn't know if he will go all the way in or pull up for that mid range. I have no idea where it went, it dissapeared because he either pulls up for a 3 or rams his way in now.

I hate to say it, but his shooting/offensive game/finishing COMPLETELY regressed while his passing/playmaking/court vision/TO rate improved...It's quite unbelievable how he can do a 360 on both. How do you lose the ability to finish ??!?!? But he makes really nice passes and sees the open man really easily and smoothly compared to last year. It looks like he is trying to make the transition to a pass-first PG like Rubio or Nash but he seems to have gotten Rubio's offensive skills as well(Rubio is a bad shooter who also has trouble finishing, although he can't slither into the lane like Lin)
