Lin has at least three inches on Lawson. If he doesn't shoot more and at a good percentage i'll be disappointed. Harden's job will be much harder with Iguodala guarding him.

 

I expect Harden to have a good game, but not good enough to carry the team. I really would like Lin to respect his skills and talent more and share some of the scoring instead of duking it out everytime. Because a lot of time he could totally finish and is unnecessary. And I expect Parsons to start stepping it up into another gear.

Almost there!

 

I think he should have a better shooting game. He's got a few games under his belt and a serious on the court workout which would have increased his fitness. With the rest and time to recuperate he should be in much better game shape, so I expect him to shoot a lot better going forward.

But it all depends on whether he has a more prominent role or whether McHale expects him to go stand in the corner for 50% of the time. In order to really get into the flow you need to be able to take a bunch of shots. The only way to really get your shot back when it isn't falling is to keep shooting and with Harden the number one option on the team I just can't see Lin doing that.

I'd be more keen to see him finishing more effectively at the rim.

 

Interesting to see Lin vs. Ty Lawson. Hopefully its better than the one he put up against Lilliard.

 

Are you suggesting Lin should be the number one option?

My early prediction: "Asik is a good rebounder."

 

No. I think Harden clearly is and should remain the Rocket's number one option. However, that doesn't mean that the rocket's playbook should consist of give the ball to Harden and let him ISO.

I think the offense needs more variety and unpredictability. I think Harden will be at his most dangerous when defences key in on Lin more. Let Lin drive to the paint for example and collapse the defense, then kick it out to Harden for an easy jumper which he is money at. This is just one example.

For the rockets to be most successful we need both Harden and Lin to do well. Lin is primarily a playmaker, he's best at that and we should let him do that and play the PG role. Harden can play the PG role ALSO, but just because he can doesn't mean he should or that that is best for the rockets.

Look at the Lakers, how's the whole marginalising of Nash and letting Kobe iso infinately working out for them?

Bottom line, a less predictable offence makes the rockets AND Harden that much more dangerous. That means making better use of Lin than the current playbook seems to.

Tonight I do not ask for victory...what I am looking forward to is is a decent game... I want to see effort, enthusiasm and organized plays....I would rather see that and got defeated than Us winning by Beard going ultra-iso... I want Lin and others to attack the rim and not mindless 3 shooting......
