    you maybe right
but it does not change what I said
    If this is the case
shouldn't SOMEONE SIT JJ's *SS DOWN AND SAY
    FEED YAO AND MAC??

    Who should someone be?
should we ask JJ to police himself
he is a vet but. . . he still a player

Yao's aggressiveness fluctuates. I hope and expect he'll get better at bringing it. T-Mac's another one who worries me. He was settling for difficult jumpers, not really attacking the rack last night. I wonder if he's physically 100% right now...

These guys are human, so they're not going to be perfect; but they need to ask themselves: are we not men?

It'd be nice, win or lose, to see twelve Rockets looking exhausted at the end of each game-- like Sura looked last night. As it stands, we're getting consistently out-hustled and humiliated.

Went to the game tonight and it was boring. The fans werent that into it untill 3rd quarter and T Gray sucks balls. That whole thing where he asks "whose ball is it?" is annoying!!! The only highlights were padgett, Sura, and carmello getting hurt.

Dear God! You've summed up exactly how I feel as well. I paid $199 to watch a so-called NBA team struggle to score 80 points a night. This team exemplifies the worst of the NBA. They are simply unwatchable. Last night I turned over to the Mavericks game so I could at least see players who could score. It's time to face the facts: Whatever JVG is preaching ain't working. They are paying the price (once again) for bad personnel decisions. It's going to be a long frustrating season...

I could not agree with you more Hillboy. I have yet to watch a game all the way through this year. I love the Rockets to death and I would sport their gear even if they had no wins, but my goodness, this team is horrible to watch. Ever since I can remember, if I was home or had a free evening, I was watching the Rockets play, but for some reason this year, I cannot make it through a quarter before I am turning to a different station to see what else is on

My girlfriend, who has no clue of offensive/defensive schemes or the league rules constantly asks me why they keep doing the same thing on offense over and over and over... the only thing I can tell her is it is the poor offensive abilities of the coach, I know the it is up to the players to execute, but if the other team knows what you are doing then you are making it that much easier for them to defend you.

You can't blame the Rockets management for purposely designing a slowdown, ball controll offense. They had success in the past using the slowdown game and a dominant center and everyone, I mean everyone projected Yao Ming as a dominant center. So they got a slowdown coach and added slowdown players. (Other than T-mac, and he wouldn't have even been in their plans if he hadn't just fallen in their laps)

So like it or not this era of the Houston Rockets is almost totally dependent on Yao Ming. He dominates, we win everbody's happy. He doesn't , we lose and we have to watch an excruciatingly boring style of basketball.

T-mac could be a one man show if he could get the game up to his tempo but who on the Rockets can rebound and pass out? Who can run with him? I think he could be a star shooting the ball if we didn't get burned every time he misses.

At this point I'm ready to sign up Dennis Rodman. He can rebound and he is anything but boring.

Not reading this whole thread.. can't do it.

    Just wanted to say:

That game, last night against the Nuggets, was possibly the SINGLE WORST PERFORMANCE I have EVER SEEN from this Houston Rockets franchise.. Ever ever. EVER.

This is a demoralized, unhappy, lost team, and it appears that the total loss of confidence is not just by Yao, but by every member of the team. It is VERY clear from watching the games and the players' attitudes towards the coach that they, to a man, do not like Van Gundy ONE BIT.

Obviously, if this keeps up for any length of time, JVG is history.

Les, start dusting off the old checkbook for Phil Jackson.. and heck, I don't even LIKE Phil Jackson!

Jeez. Watching my TOENAILS grow is more entertaining than watching the Houston Rockets right now.

Man, the guy lives with his mom and dad, and they go to every game. I don't think Yao is gonna grow anything soon.

Like I said, there are about half of this team that believe they can shoot out of the slump, namely JJ, Tmac, MoTay. The rest of the half believe that they'd better give up shots if they arent falling for you, even if those are wide open shots, or they shoot it with such reluctance, namely Yao, Ward. Everybody needs to know where their shots are. I think it is the coach's job to point out what kind of shots one has to take. You cant completely blame JJ.

There's something very wrong here. Clearly, this team is not responding to JVG. But JVG should not shoulder all of the blame for this mismash of a team. This team was poorly conceived and poorly constructed from the start and the blame for that has to go to the top of the organization. The one constant for the past ten years of bad personnel evaluations and drafts has been Dawson but somehow he's never at fault for what he puts out there on the floor. I repeat my contention that nothing will change with this team until changes are made at the top of the organization.

I was at the game and OUCH it suked pretty bad. Only nice thing was me n my friends moved down to the lower bowl at half time BUT it was like a ghost town. No 1 and i mean no1 was clapping yelling or doing anything even when we were making a come back. It was just wiered... Y do they even come to the games?? & the arena it self was just dead, it was pretty bad. I liked Sura though nice passing but missed some open shots but its his frist game back so ill cut him some slack. ONLY if JJ hit that 3 and tied the game i really do think we woulda won. Oh well one things for sure the style of bball the ROX are playing just isnt gona work, even if we win its just not any fun for the fans!

He shed a tear after the conclusion of the game? That's using your emotions the wrong way. Take it out onto the court Yao!

I have no problems watching the same offensive plays of the rockets again and again and again as long as they win. But heck, they keep on losing even against garbage teams like the hawks, the knicks and the nuggets minus an injured melo. This team sucks. The rockets of rudy t also implied a simple inside outside offense and it netted us two titles. The Jazz, spurs, suns, blazers, knicks and the magic certainly proved that. They knew that every play would start and end in hakeem but still, they could not stop it. Sad, rudy is not available right now but sure kobe will have one hell of a season, probably he's best yet becoz of rudy t.
