Well it might be a little bit of both. But seriously, you put KG under JVG's system, you know why KG will win?..because he plays with HEART night in and night out. This is really the first time i've ever bashed Yao.


But seriously, enough is enough. Everytime Yao got the ball tonight and turned it over, it just made me more and more frustrated with him.


A lot of the mistakes Yao made tonight were fundamental. No matter how much coaching is available, it has to come with a degree of common bball sense (for example NOT bringing the ball down for people to slap away)

I really wonder how a team like the rockets can rebound MENTALLY from a slump like this. The season is still early but when you get into a nasty groove, it's hard to get out of it. We don't have anyone to step up and just take charge consistently.

 

Rockets now lacks of defence,as well as offence.

 

I think Yao has given up on JVG, doesn't seem to WANT to play the game anymore, has no joy.

The Rockets desperatly need someone who can get easy baskets for their team, either Sura or Barrett are the two best candidates.

Nothing gets a team going more than a pass first PG who gets a few easy baskets for teamates.

Look at how well Sura played tonight, he was penetrating (WHICH A PG SHOULD DARNED WELL DO) and setting the table for his teamates.

I would like to see Sura as the starter and Andre Barrett as the backup.

It does appear that Van Gundy is losing his team. They are not responding.
I am not so worried about potential problems due to lack of chemistry. The problems I see are lack of effort.

 

How long has Yao had this flu? Like for the past 3 weeks? Or does he get a new flu virus every other game?

 

Our girl Coop just said Yao needs more shots! LOL, I think I can do a better job than her and I have an accent.

I'm not even worried about Yao, we know he always has these types of games, what I'm worried about is the lack of positive impact Tracy is having on the Rockets. Not looking at the stats because today he actually had a decent game with the free throw line saving him, just looking at how the team plays while he's on the court. When you look at his past it looks like it's repeating itself all over again, JVG has to find a way to get him to step it up as a leader as the alpha male, not just as a guy who does his thing and lets everyone else take care of themselves.

 

Yao is lost .I am afraid he can't find a way out.Yao should be trade to the team like Warriors or Celtcs.

 

Agreed. This team desperately needs players that can create for themselves and for others. The offense gets too stagnant without it.

We have too many slow footed veterans and not enough younger quick athletes. We wanted to get more veterans on this team to "smarten" it up but what it did was just make us slower which puts us at even more of a disadvantage.

Amazing that on Sura's FIRST game back he has a pretty significant impact on this game. Just goes to show you how much we were missing without his play. Imagine if we can add in a good rebounder to this team??

Same here. I do miss SF but dunno why exactly. I did like the trade but now it just feels weird to see SF in a different uniform.
