y'know ... when i was watching the game, I thought the exact same thing ... following a Rafer Alston jumper that actually went in.

LoL, noticed that too while watching on TV... TMac is easily the most talented player. Even Kobe doesn't score so easiliy and effortlessly as TMac. If TMac had Kobe's intensity and competitiveness (and of course without the back injuries), he would easily be at par with Jordan.

    Yao_fan_2007, is that you?

The Rockets' defensive gameplan for this game was to keep the Nuggets out of the paint, which is what they did. Beating a 9-4 team by 27 points (which should have been even more considering how long Adelman and Karl let the scrubs play) is a good win on any given night. Why don't you mention the hustle, or the fact that Francis gave the team a tremendous spark off the bench, or the fact that Scola seems to be getting better and better each game?

We all knew that there were going to be growing pains, so why not celebrate the development of the team? As for Yao, he got 18 shots (of which he made 9), only 5 shots fewer than T-Mac, which isn't bad considering how hard it is to get him the ball sometimes. He's making the elbow jumper at a pretty good rate, at least from what I've seen. What difference does it make where he scores? Yao looks less winded nowadays and is still scoring 20+ a game.

Yao plays much better next to Scola and Steve. It's as if Yao doesn't want to disappoint SF3. Steve was actually diving on the floor for lose balls. I haven't seen that in his entire career.

If we could play like this almost every game we would beat a team that can beat anyone. It felt so good to see Steve play again, and I really thing in a few more games he just might move into the starting line-up.

I agree Francis supplied plenty of heart and energy even on defense he was very active with his hands. If Rick lets Francis settle in and find his niche on this team he could be a real weapon for the Rockets. With Bonzi playing bad lately and injured now we need the bench to step up for us.

Landry looked good in the few minutes he got. I couldn't believe he slammed the ball from a flat footed position. He's more athletic than he looks.

Francis a force on this team? When Bonzi comes back he'll be rooted to the bench again. At best he will be given Luther's spot minutes, because they want Luther at 3rd string point anyway. Scola is looking like he might contribute what Juwan contributed last year unlike the first few games where he was complete crap, but that's not really a great compliment.

Really the same problems that plagued this team over the 6 game losing streak were still there. There is no reason to be excited about the win. I am relieved that we won but am not exactly pleased. Yao is still not getting the ball in the post, we are still giving up wide open jumpers.

Yao took 5 elbow jumpers. FIVE. That's five more than the should have taken. That shot is a terrible shot and bails the defense out. Adelman is transforming Yao into freaking Brad Miller in front of our eyes. He said that his vision for Yao is as Vlade Divac. HE IS RUINING YAO.

My god he is taking a great post player who some said was too soft and he is making him even softer and less of a post player. What kind of garbage is that? I understand why this board is ripping on Yao for being soft this year, but it's ADELMAN'S FAULT. His BANKRUPT coaching is what is making Yao more soft.

Dude, Yao shot 9/18 and TMac was 13/23. Yao got enough touches! Dude stop being a blind Yao fan. I am a Yao fan myself, but gimme a break. Yao cannot carry the team the way TMac can, we will always need TMac to score more and get everyone involved.

You keep blaming the coach, didn't Van Gundy kept trying to pound the ball inside to Yao?? How can we all keep forgetting that many times last year and this year, when Yao gets fronted, he is completely taken out of the game and in the process slows down our whole offense. So at the end of the day, the stats shows that Yao didn't score enough and we lost, but in reality, he was taken out of the game by fronting defense. Now lets enjoy the win. We need both Yao and TMac to win.

When Tmac is not that hot, he should give Scola more touches.

I'm flattered, but no. I would be honored to be Yao's beat writer, but I don't have that privilege.

But I refuse to equivocate on the obvious fact that Adelman is ruining Yao. He is making Yao into Brad Miller and thinks his future is as Vlade Divac. Today he shot 5 midrange jumpers. He should not be shooting that shot, ever. I understand why fans think he is soft this year, but he is soft because of ADELMAN'S BANKRUPT COACHING.

Seriously, you're taking one of the best post players in the game whose game was a bit soft anyway, and you're taking him away from the post and making him more soft? What the hell?? Adelman needs to be fired ASAP.
