I'm aware enough to know that McGrady is carrying us (which I have said about 8 times) and that we still aren't playing defense. I don't think you actually agree with me. You're pleased that McGrady gets plenty of touches whether he's going well or not and Yao has to call for the ball and not get it.

It is a testament to Yao's ability that he can put up 22/13/2 when he is being held back by his coach, and we are lucky that McGrady was hot and that Denver couldn't hit an open jumper. Otherwise we would have been in another struggle. The main problems this team faced in the 6 games losing streak are still there.

denver was also 9-4. melo and AI have been rolling ofensively. sure it may not say much about if our O improved or not. but this game, TRACY PLAYED LESS OFF THE BALL. he had zero assists until the 3rd, which meant other guys were distributing and creating a lil bit.

but the main thing was our D. we forced melo to shoot Js. when he went inside, nothing was easy. we played great D. denver is one of the most explosive offenses in the L

I would like to see Steve starting with Rafer moving into the DNP-CD land forever. I like Steve's ability to get by his man and finish at the rim. Yes he missed an easy one however, we never see rafer at the rim or rebounding the way Steve does.

It is now time for the following and watch Yao numbers go up with Steve on the floor
    SF3
    Tmac
    Battier
    Hayes
    Yao

Bench to stay with fast and quick teams:
    Scola
    James
    Bonzi
Luther, maybe if he plays post defense.
    Kirk

    DNP-CD
    Rafer
    Mutombo

Your love child Yao is the one who turns it over the most.

Leaving shooters open is better than leaving the lane open for drives.

LOL even though I hate rafer's gut, but i believe he will be much better than Luther or Kirk.

Actually, RA should tell Yao that he should shot the ball without hesitating once he gets it or just pass to somebody else.

oh my god. forget tmac in this game. it's about steve finally getting minutes showing why he will be a force on this team. how scola continues to be a beast. how the starters got off to a great start and the bench didn't let up.

it's not about yao or tmac tonight. they could score 30 and 30 and if the others don't step up, we'll lose (check the grizz game).

    Is it me or. . . .
does the VERY THREAT of Steve Francis Light a fire under MJ and RA

I think having Steve play will push those guy more
maybe they were getting a little too comfortable
    and
Seeing Steve Perform . .they will realize they need their A GAME everynight

does adelman read this board? because he did tonight, what most of us wanted him to. rafer did not play most of the 4th quarter(check), steve closed the game(check), luther was relegated to scrub minutes(check), and yao was given less 20 ft jumpers(check)

I truly think SF3 and Scola are our answers to the issues we're having with choking late in games. Steve and Scola have heart, which is severly lacking in our top 2 players Tmac and Yao

Regardless of their record, the Nugs are yoyos. You never know what you're going to get. Tonight Melo was so awful in the 1st half it wasn't funny. Shane's D was OK but it was mostly Melo being bad. While I'll take this win and feel good about it, the Nugs were terrible and that's why it was a blowout. We played well and would have beaten them anyway if they had played better.

Kirk's only problem is that he shoots way too many jumpers and needs to drive to the bucket. I definitely like his defense much better than Bonzi's.
