I don't think it is about Cisco or Casspi stepping up at all. I think those two are just trying to keep the team fictional at the moment until the Harden, Lin and Beverley picking (rank) order has been firmly established. When they stop trying to change their individual appreciation and start playing team ball, Cisco and Casspi will return to their production.

I think this is gonna be another nail-biter. We play down to our opponent/sloppy slow start. Even though they were the ones on a back-to-back last year, we were the ones that looked tired and uninspired. Nuggets won't be able to miss, and Lin/Harden/Howard/Parsons/D12 are gonna combine for at the very least, 15 TO's. But, I think we put a decent single digit lead to drain the clock to win the game. So, what ever the Nuggets score but like +6 of that.

 

Lawson is averaging 20 a game on 16.4 field goal attempts. 3 FGA per game jump since last season. With Iggy gone his usage is up. FG% has dropped to 42% though.

Nuggets don't have Igoudala to defend against Harden, replaced him with ... Randy Foye. Harden should go Kobe on them.

I will be worried when we face the Warriors though, now that they have Igoudala.

 

Twin Tower can actually be effective in this game. Neither Faried or Hickson shoot well outside of 5 feet. Just hope Asik puts in the effort.

 

If Mozgov will outguard Howard - we should send boo's to Dwight...

 

We may have some big names, but no team fears playing the Rockets. None.

 

Foye has been somewhat of a Rockets Killer over the years. He sucks when he plays everyone else, but I think last year or two years ago he hit 7 3s on us. But Harden, if he is aggressive and attacking the hoop instead of shooting, can completely steal Foye's lunch money. Should be entertaining. Nuggets came from a back to back. Usually the other way around.

 

I'll be in the building. Should be a win... hoping for a large margin.

Have to admit I'm looking forward to seeing Nate Robinson. Love that guy. He and Bev should be an interesting match-up. Perhaps Bev's closest match in energy, fearlessness, and grit.

 

My expectations for this team make all our recent games feel like trap games...
