A-Train... this is the same guy that said the Rox new jersey was uglier than their road jersey. What did you expect? :D

Nahhh, he said that after the preseason game on the Denver board. I went to check it out after Camby said see you in the reg season to Yao after he got smoked. But damn that site blows. I really feel sorry for Denver fans. Crappy site, crappy jersey and most of all crappy team. Guess my expectations are too high for having the best bball fansite but still, that board is UGLY.

PS. Check out the new site

Naw, I don't think that was NugzFan. The two nuggets fans on the board are OK...

Denver hasn't had an NBA basketball team in a while, so I guess Nuggets fans in general are a little eager to see what the team can do...

MemphisX is just straight up r****ded...

DUH!?!?! Because the other team is wearing WHITE. You don't want your teammates passing the ball to the other team, do you?

A few thought from last night's game:

Jim Jackson just flat out beat up Carmello Anthony the whole time that he was playing him. On defense, he banged on Anthony continuously and pushed him off the block. On offense, he posted him up and just overpowered him. I don't think that Anthony knew how to react to that kind of physical play. It was completely clean, but extremely physical. Great to see. He really took Anthony out of his game and he was rattled for most of the rest of the game.

Yao is posting up very deep and is just moving people out of the way when he wants to get his shot. In most cases, he's doing it realitively easily, so it doesn't look like an offensive foul. When he wanted his shot, no Denver defender could hold their position against him. Still pretty frustrating to see guys drive to the hoop and jump into Yao's chest and get the foul called on Yao.

More props for Jackson. On three occassion he passed up an open shot and kept the ball moving for an easy hoop by another Rocket. Shades of the Kings ball movement.

The Rockets worked really hard on defense and they seem to know what everyone is suppose to be doing. They were playing much more team defense than they have in the past. If a player got beat, somebody came over and cut them off. It was nice to not see endless drives to the hoop by the opponents. Andre Miller got into the lane a few times, but overall it was good team defense.

Braggs came up big last night. He never stops hustling and if he gets his hands on a rebound, he'll pull it in. He'll shoot the ball if he's open, but he doesn't have to have the ball to be effective. He's a nice complementary player for Yao and Steve.

Chris Anderson can flat out jump and he's really quick off of his feet. He had three blocks in limited action.

In the first half, Moochie was handling the ball like it was a hand grenade.

Finally, I don't know if anybody else saw Adrian Griffin warming up about an hour prior to the game, but he couldn't miss. He started out from around 18 feet and them moved back to the 3 pt arc. He was shooting that little set shot of his, but he was draining shot after shot. If he can consistently hit a jump shot from 18 ft, then he'll see minutes.

How about the fast break the Rockets ran in the 1st quarter that was finished with a Jim Jackson pass to Steve. That was absolutely the most perfect break the Rockets have run in years. The ball never touched the court.

Jackson just looks like he knows exactly how the game should be played. Regardless of his shooting he really played a great game.

JJ was fantastic last night. He was very aggressive on Anthony, which is someting the Rocket's have been needing in a player. Agression.

He seemed to be very comfortable with the team last night. He handles the ball very well.

Did anyone notice the loud grunting on the cato slam dunks? The man is a beast. Made me want to get up and beat my couch pillow.

:( I have anger management issues.

All I have to say about this game is Jim Jackson. Incredible defense, very smart on offense, keeping the ball moving. This guy was awesome last night. The Rockets finally have a true veteran.

moochie played a horrendous game and the cat played selfishly, taking a few ill-advised shots. otherwise, the team did well last night. i like this year rockets a lot more than last year rockets. yao got more touches, cato was a monster, and more importantly francis played point guard

Don't sweat it too much mate. JVG has control of this team and I believe he will fix those little gliches. I think Mobley played a lot of minutes though. The good news is that our 2 most important players and doing the right thing and are setting the right pace.
