I noticed a lot of home teams were wearing their road unis on wed. and thur.

Wonder why? I also noticed a lot of other teams have new uniforms, like Dallas and Phx (not 100% sure if their were new). Could that be the reason why home teams were wearing road uni's??

For game #1, although for me the last four preseason games count so it is game #5, this team's defense and offense look like top 4 to me. The only way we can keep this up is to lengthen the rotation, as there is a lot of energy being expended. Thank god we have the depth to play ten guys, at least.

I am thinking about JJ. His D really helped. But whoever guarded Miller in the first half definitely failed his duty.

I was pretty impressed by the Rockets last night. You can defintely tell that Yao is the go to man when he is on the court, if he would have stayed out of foul trouble I think its pretty safe to say that he would have had a 30 point night. Moochie did suck, but I have to give him credit he is alot thinner. So he has been working on his game. Hopefully it was just a bad game.

Oh yeah, almost forgot...What did Marcus Camby have to say? Was he giving 100% tonight? Didn't look like it. Dude was talking some serious smack after the Rockets trounced the Nuggets in the pre-season. I noticed Mr. Glass didn't have much to say after this game...

JJ got in the face of Carmelo pretty good.

Cat and Steve switched off guarding Andre. Miller did play a pretty good game, but it wasn't like he scored a ton either. You can't expect the opp to not score at all !

WOW, after a cold first half the Rocket's really brought their game in the third quarter. So nice to have a blowout on opening night, even if it was just the Nuggets.

Cato just rocks at PF, so far we are 5-0 when Cato starts at PF.

    Let's go Rockets!

JJ was great last night, he was welcoming the youngster to the NBA with some old fashioned aggression. kind of like Payton did to SF when he was a rookie.

As for Miller, he got his 18 pts or so, but did not get many assists. he had only 3 last night, I belive.

Clutch played a joke on us this morning saying the site is closed down. Turned out we are only moving.

Wasn't as obvious when I saw it on ESPN... but what the hell was Carmelo thinking?!? That's nowhere close to a decent path to the basket.

Actually Cato was one of the most praised players in this BBS last year. I don't know what you were reading but almost everyone here all the way to Rudy T were saying that Cato was the most improved Rocket last year. I don't know what it was that you said but to say that few were praising Cato last year is totally inacurate.

I love what Cato is doing at the 4 right now. No way I would prefer Braggs at the 4 just so Cato can back up Yao. Cato can start the 4 and still be Yao Mings back up, just like he did last night. On the rare occassions that Rudy T played Cato at the 4 last year I thought he looked terribly out of place but this year he really looks good there.

I don't know what you mean about shooting percentages being deceiving because they are not. You are what you are and Cato will hit about 50 percent of his shots through out the course of the season. He has done it every year he has been in the league. Cato's shooting percentages are so high because he is so selective with his shots and more often than not will dunk the ball, take a very close range shot or not shoot at all. It is way to early to tell what Boki is going to be yet but we will certainly have a better idea after several games.
