    HOLY MOTHER OF SHIZNAKKA!!!

    I watched a game, and the Rockets won!!! I WATCHED A GAME AND THE ROCKETS WON!!!

    For the first time in 7 years of watching Rockets games, they WON WITH ME WATCHING!!! The curse is gone! The curse is gone! Ding, dong, the CURSE IS GONE!!!

    I don't remember if any of you guys remember me telling you about this last year, but it's true. In about 7 years of watching Rockets games (40+ games), I've never watched the Rockets win live.

    That was a enjoyable win.
    Only the 1st game of the season and we looked pretty good already. Can't wait till Jeff have this team in mid-season form.

    So many players who deserved praise, Cato, JJ, Braggs, MoT, Boki played their role perfectly. Yao shot well, Steve was tremedous, Cat came around nicely at the end.

    Our offense flowed and moved so well, we started the offense so early we could afford to go thru several options before taking our shots. Many different players contributed. I don't know if we had 6 players in double figures in any game last season !?

    Our defense was awesome. We challenged every drive, every shot. For once, we put the hurt on the other team instead of the other way. It was a warm welcome to the NBA for Carmelo. The poor kid was close to tear last night.

    There are several negatives that I hope we will overcome.
    1) Yao was not aggressive on the glass.
    2) Cat's shooting percentage, 6-16Fg compared to 6-8 for Yao.
    3) Mooch's dribble and turnovers.

    MVP of the game, ... easily Steve. He was the floor general on offense. He took the right shots, passed the right passes. Pushed the ball or slowed the paces at the right time.
    Steve's effort on defense was tremendous. He had not played that much defense since ... forever.
    Steve, this is what we talked about. This is why we call u the Franchise ...
    now go practice some FTs and u'll be perfect :)

    did anyone else notice the snub JVG gave Fraterno ?

    He came over to the annoucers table and shoke hands with Marv, Czar had his hand stretched out and Jeff just ignored it and walked off coldly.

    Marv and Mike talked briefly about it, but never explained why Jeff and Mike don't get along..

    i wondered that too. thought maybe it was just a one time thing to show off our primary color uniforms for our first game in the new arena.

    and i wouldn't have ZRB go out any other way.

    I can't remember what they called it (Switch Day??) but they said they will be wearing their red jerseys at home about four times this season.

    I think other teams were doing the same too?

    Francis & Yao played awesome for the amount of minutes each player got. I also saw many plays were Francis found the open man, passed the ball, and that player missed the shot. If those players would of made those shots, Francis would of had like 12 assists or something like that.
