    Agreead,

The Warriors lost to the Nuggets by 13 last year. Like you said, it happens all the times. But hey you do have to realize where you are at, the GARM always overreacts to losses and certain players performances.

That's the thing brother, it isn't one game.

These problems have been evident since day one of McHale as head coach of the Rockets.

That's where my frustration with him comes from.

He rarely ever adapts. He never changes things.

I don't know why I kid myself going into off-seasons looking forward to the next season expecting the coaching staff to implement plays.

For the cheerleaders, and to see M. Harrell and Capela.

I can't think of any other reason.

The point is we really can't afford to be this rusty this early in the West. We were supposed to be hungry out the gate, that's what made last year so special. If we looked good tonight and lost by 2 it wouldn't be bad but losing like this to the nuggets when we have to play the Warriors on Friday is a bit concerning. It seems like the Rockets thought they could just turn it back on.

Maybe the nuggets will be better. Gallo has always had major talent and playing next to another player like mudiay could really open his game up.

Still, all I'm saying is the rockets based on last season deserve a little more patience.

They were trash. I think we can all agree there and they shouldn't have lost this game. Agreed.

But they did and there is enough time to make up for it. If this was gave 79 and the 2nd seed was on the line then yeah.

But last year they proved that they are a team more often than not will play better than this.

I'll panic though if we were like 0-8 though.

If the Nuggets are much improved it will be due to coaching and how sad is that?

I think people (including myself) are upset because while games like this happen, they usually happen in the midst of a long season, playing a back to back, or after a tough stretch of games when you overlook an opponent. This is opening night, there is no way we should have come out playing like this.

Also it is concerning that a lot of stuff we didn't do well in the preseason (defense) carried over into tonight. Earlier it was dismissed as "it's just preseason" but I have yet to see the Rockets play good defense at all so far this year. That is concerning.

I missed the game, but how did Capela do as the starting center? Does he look up to the task of being the first center off the bench?

    Well...

I'm super high on Dmo, I think he's our 3rd best player. So yeah I think he fixes a lot of issues we have.

    Howard is our 2nd best.

    They make a huge difference.

Still, we should have beat this team tonight. Still though, losing the first game doesn't lose you the championship.

I personally don't see this game and think 'well we are not winning now..'

I just think man that sucks, hopefully Dwight is ready to go on Friday and the rockets score a big win.

he cannot rebound consistently. not able to box out or bang with the big boys yet. he racks up a lot of highlight plays with blocks and putbacks, but overall he's ineffective as a backup center right now

As good as capella is, he still doesn't own the paint like Dwight does.

Fundamentally he's worse than Dmo, has a lot to learn.

A front line of capella and Jones...ouch. I think that's a big reason our defense had been so bad.

A lot of people forget too all that Dmo did when Dwight went out.

Montrezl was pretty good. Bev was good in spots. Burn the rest.

Dmo was a big time safety blanket for Harden and the entire Rockets last year when D12 was out. If it wasn't for Dmo, the Rockets would've been a 7th seed at best.

Different to lose in the middle of the season in a back2back or in a 4in5 and when you have to travel and play in Denver (where the arena built so high alone gives them a big advantage) and different to lose at your home opener in fresh legs against a team heading for the top of the lottery led by a rookie pg.

It is very troubling. It was not just underestimating the opponent, because we have so much more talent than them we should have taken care of them anyway.

We will know soon enough if the problems are easily fixed with Dwight in and with some more chemistry or not.

On replay, Rockets fought back to down 37-36 on an Ah Capela from Harden lob dunk.

I'm guessing things fall apart after.
