Someone said something to the effect of:

We've already seen the worst we could possibly see this season, it can only get better from here on out.

Yes, T-Mac being out with back spasms is certainly "getting better".

As I told him, things can always get worse. This is proof positive.

God, I hate being right.

Wesley is currently assigned to defending Melo. This will turn out well!

I hope we are both wrong but I also have the bad feeling that Tmac will be troubled by injury problem in the rest of his career. Again, I hope I am wrong.

Heard that. Looking forward to March Madness and the Final Four, see if maybe this draft might have a few promising stars we can shoot for.

Of course, I won't complain if the Rockets go on an improbable tear and wind up in the playoffs... but I call such a tear "improbable" for a good reason.

That's total BS. He's been playing sub 100% the whole season and would still be playing if it weren't for the back spasms. He's been putting up 30+ lately and it's not his fault he's carrying this team.

I think you're confusing TMAC with Camby.

Nice little steal by Swift, followed by the pass to Luther for the 2-and-1. :D

Definitely could get used to seeing some more of that.

Zero. Because we're not trading him.

Has to, with T-Mac out and Yao yet to come back.

This game goes a little way toward redeeming him for his lousy performance in Toronto... but he needs to play this way consistently for me to get off his case.

As if he cares whether I'm on his case or not... :p :D

HOUSTON -- Houston star Tracy McGrady left Sunday night's game against Denver with a recurrence of severe back spasms.

Tracy McGrady
Guard-Forward

Profile
2006 SEASON STATISTICS
GM PPG RPG APG FG% FT%
23 25.9 7.0 5.1 41.684 75.980

The 6-foot-9 McGrady, who missed eight games earlier in the season because of back spasms, missed a deep jumper near the top of the key in the final seconds of the first half. He started backpedalling, stopped abruptly, bent over and crumpled to the floor, screaming in pain as the buzzer sounded.

McGrady was lifted onto a stretcher and rolled off the floor, surrounded by several team officials and owner Les Alexander. An ambulance took McGrady to the hospital.

The Rockets are already missing their other star, Yao Ming, who's out at least another month after surgery to remove an infection from his left big toe.

Guards Rafer Alston and Jon Barry recently returned from leg injuries and Derek Anderson remains sidelined with a calf strain. The backcourt trio has missed a total of 45 games this season.

McGrady had topped 30 points in Houston's last five games. He had 11 points on 5-for-14 shooting in the first half against Denver.

Only five down, you mean, with twelve minutes left in the game. Something special is hardly required. Nice, but not required.
