Funny logic: "we lose alot more with tracy out." --> "this team is better with mac being the primary offensive option."
Imagine an extreme scenario: If we have a perfect rebounder, who can grab 30 offensive rebounds each game but doen't attempt to shoot a lot, if we lose more without him, should we make him primary offensive option? This logic looks reasonable, but doesn't work.
I agree TMAC should control the game, let him defer to YAO, like he was doing early this season, is not the right choice. Even I don't disagree that this is TMAC's team, if we have to lose one of the two superstars, perhaps we'd better keep TMAC. But I don't see the point to make him the primary offensive option. BTW, compared to flexible offensive plan, making TMAC the primary offensive option is more predictable or less? I remember (and agree) that YAO-oriented offense is too predictable, right?

Actually this team is built more around T-Mac then Yao. T-Mac is our only playmaker, and one of the only 2 ball handlers we have. We lost more without him this season because of that. But it's not like we were getting blown out; just the lack of playmakers on the team made it nearly impossible to finish off close games. Deke and JHo can somewhat compensate for the loss of Yao, so we can beat mediocre teams. But as you saw after the All-Star break, teams figured us out, and we started losing at a pretty high clip.

The only players that are here to compliment Yao are Hayes and somewhat Head. Trust me, if we ever trade Yao, Hayes is gone too. And if Yao's here, my bet is so is Hayes.

    Rockets fan:
From your basketball viewpoints, it seems that you are T-mac fans rather than Rocket fans
You should think more about T-mac comments on Yao's returning to the court. T-mac 's basketball IQ is much more practicle and realistic thans fans' one. It depends on game strategies rather than who the No.1 is.

cmon guys, i was glad to see yao returning to his usual dominance last night. as usual, he's our most efficient player. the only thing he has to do in the playoffs is STAY ON THE COURT. we need him for AT LEAST 36-37 mins a game. tmac will play 40+ mins in the playoffs. so therefore, we have a better chance if both guys stay on the floor more. yao has to take his time w/ his conditioning. continue to learn to stay out of foul trouble, esp. guarding guys smaller and quicker than him, which he will face in the playoffs v. either boozer or okur. if he can, i know he'll provide the offense.

Clutch situations it has to be tracy. first half or even upto the 3rd quarter it has to be yao. milk yao for 2 and a half quarter and let tracy killi them.

Whomever has the greater mismatch should lead that day.
