Just checked the Rox-Nets history. Yao didn't show up big in the previous game. I guess it's because Nets is fast just like Suns. But I believe Yao will answer this time.
Yao's career average against the Nuts is about 12.7ppg. We will see how he responds tonight after dueling out for 41 min yesterday.
Collins is a very under-rated defensive center. He has always played good defense against Yao in the past.
Yeah, for some reason Collins owns Yao. But that use to also be true with Rasho, Foyle, Diaw, and Dampier. Interesting to see what happens tonight.
This is going to be a tough game for us. Yao played 41 minutes last night and this is a back2back. The Nets are a running team that relies on penetration. Yao and the team must be on guard about dribble penetration and keeping the Mingster out of foul trouble. Still, I have faith in a victory.
Well, I hope all heterosexual Rockets players refused to be penetrated tonight...or any night for that matter. edit: damn you Zboy, you beat me to the joke!
By the 1st quarter. Nened packs his bag and is at home by halftime, under the bed covers, scared to come out because of a certain chinese boogeyman.
Really hoping for a huge game from Yao. I'm sure we all feel like a proud papa watching this guy morph into a monster. May i also just add that throughout all of this T-Mac injury mess Yao has stood tall and acted like a man when a lesser player would have copped out to injuries months ago. And also- do not forget T-Mac or even entertain the idea of trading him. When healthy he is the best player in the league and as fans we need to stick by him. And when Yao and T-Mac are back next year--then the league will see what we all know these guys can do together.
I've been to the 1st Nets vs. Rockets game this season, I remembered Yao being screwed by the refs calling cheap fouls on him and force him to sit out of the time. When he's on the court though, he was unstoppable. If Yao can stay out of foul troubles, Nets will be crushed.
Bogans and Brunson will be the story of this game. They both will have career games. Yao will be Yao. Rockets win, Rockets win.
