Wesley's out, right? So we've got Skip on Kidd, Keith on Vince, and Rybo on Jefferson? And flopper Collins is guarding Yao? That's great, just great. My prediction? 126-75 Rox!!!! Yao Ming 40pts, 20rebs, 10ast, 8blks. There will be hell to pay!
Despite the loss to SA, I think the Rox, especially Yao, are starting to develop that killer instinct they need to power to the playoffs. Win.
What I love about this post is that it implies that at 25/10 Yao actually under-performed against the Spurs. You have to love that he's been playing so great that we're actually getting to be disappointed when he only goes for 25 and 10.
There's a new standard in town for Yao. 30+ ppg is probably the minimum for what he needs to score in order for us to win. More likely he needs to start dropping 40 pt games. I have faith in the big guy. I hope he can do it, and lead us to the playoffs. That would be a huge sign for his future, and a big step for our present.
I'll also be at the game...I think we are 1-3 when I attend this season. Another MUST Win! Yao's going to have to go off for 40 for us to win cause the supporting cast is not doing it.
This is going to be a real gut check. The team showed heart in the loss to SA, and expended alot of energy. They are now facing a back to back. The early season Rockets would have no doubt layed down for this one. We will see how they have progressed. If they come out with fight and determination and scratch out a win, I will be impressed, playoffs or not. Ming probably has the best match up, but Kidd, Carter and Jefferson will be a load. The Rockets have no players at their talent level. I have a good bit of uncertainity about this one. Another late season defining moment.
