Win number 5 in a row. The Rockets better take this one seriously. Not only did they already get their asses whooped by 20 at home to the Nuggets(albeit sans Dwight), but last year's team that won 56 games nearly dropped a home game to the winless Sixers.

The Rockets have been working on defense over these past few days. Interested to see if we see it on the court tonight.

Wow! oh ye of little faith are already back. We just rolled off a nice 4 game win streak and after a much needed 3 days off for practice and rest you guys think because it's a Wednesday, the lowly Nets, Bev/ Jones will send Thornton to the bench and McHale is STILL the coach we are doomed.

Could we lose? Yes but Harden is back to playing with his rhythm and the Nets just won't be able to overcome Harden and Howard.

Everything I've seen this season indicates that this will almost certainly be an unnecessarily close games where we will have to make a few plays at the end of the game to win it.

Classic Rockets playing down to the level of competition.

Games like these that always ended up being closer than they should have been. Getting up early and maintaining focus leads to resting our starters, let's not keep them in the game as our trusted friend Mr. Worrell always says.

I was thinking along the same lines, but T.Jones has only played in only 1.5 games. First game he had a respectable 15 points /6 rebounds, but the team didnt show up and no Dwight. Second game he had his eyelid cut open.

Definitely agree about Thornton tho - his minutes should not be taken away. He's been the most consistent player on this team, including the pre-season, if i'm not mistaken.

Personally I'd start T-Jones. Even if his play is subpar, you need a PF out there. Thornton should be the primary backup to Harden and get some minutes at the 3 when we go small. I'd cut back on Brewer's minutes and avoid playing a Bev/Lawson backcourt. Put Thornton in there with Lawson instead.

I'll be at the game so it's a definite WIN.

My record while attending games at TC is unblemished.

Don't let his stats in the 1st game deceive you; he was awful.

I kind of agree. From what I've seen Thornton is really streaky, and I'd rather him come off the bench to minimize any bad stretch he goes through. Also I don't think the small lineup is that great, we won those back to back games because Harden went god mode, our defense was still horrid.

So who even still plays for the Nets? Joe Johnson?
