Not only did that game really freaking hurt, but it’s a glimpse into the next 4 weeks unless we make a trade. Team relies heavily on Capela for both O & D. Don’t see us even treading water, will be drowning, could be out of playoffs. Where was Knight, injured?
That’s an understatement. It’s one thing to do that middle of the game, but it’s just completely moronic with 4 minutes left up 10 and 0 big man on floor when all we needed was defense. Not to mention We have JH for offense
The same scrubs who were blundering the game away. Btw that was Eric Gordon’s 11 point run. He was not on the floor during the clutch.
I'm angry for James Harden. I know he's probably not the kind of jerk to get on his teammates asses for letting him down, but they really did this game. In overtime especially, those back-to-back 3 point plays, Rivers' missed three, and that Nunnally drive into a block were all poor basketball plays. Clark probably should have been in the game to finish it. Nene could have gotten a board. That said, these things happen, and the Rockets in these 3 years always have a few games like this, though 2017-18 was much better in that regard. I don't think this loss will change much, because it's not like Chris Paul and Clint Capela are walking onto the court anytime soon. That said, our coaching staff needs to take a good, hard look at how to close games properly without some of our best players. I'm assuming this means the Danuel House timeline has just been sped up a tad.
We can foul them.... especially on that last 3 they made before OT. It was dumb not to foul them, considering they was hitting so many 3 pointers up to that point.
(Gordon) He came out, knee was a little sore. Was getting towards his minutes (limit), cautious not to push him, thought we could finish the game off anyway. Hopefully just general soreness. We didn't want to risk it. Defensive breakdowns? They hit five big threes, we were on them, they hit unbelievable shots. ... Tip your hat to them.
lol it just dawned on me that Ennis wasnt even suited up to play tonight. I forget he's even a player on the squad sometimes Poor HarGod... honestly this is the worst Ive felt for him career wise. He's prime next level God tier and hes surrounded by injury prone old former stars and scrubs...
They had plenty to beat the nets tonight. Up 10 with 4 minutes, then we go extremely small like never before with tucker and JH at 4 and 5 and rest being nunaley, GG (who was having worst defensive game I remember)!and river. This one was on coaching...but yes we do need depth when unhealthy
I’m not happy with the shitty ass coaching staff not calling timeouts, not fouling so there can’t be a game tying 3 and having the final play of OT be a fade-away out of bounds!
You know, even when guys are shooting at 50% behind the arc James will take all the shots, so it doesn't matter. He is going to make sure of that because he runs the show. Yes, he is great at ISO, great at drawing fouls, and great at free throws but he forces too many 3's when double covered instead of passing to open men more. I have said it a hundred times, we would do better feeding guys who are hot. If others had taken some of those 3 pointers we probably would have won, but hey, James is getting his records. Team ball we win that. Coach better D'Antoni!!!! Oh, and no, we don't have to go small if you men in charge would get us a legit big man to guard that rim.
JV isn't a full time starter. green has missed a whopping 3 games. that's not out for a while. van fleet hasn't played in like 7 games. their pieces missing is at the level of what houston is going through
Coach didn’t make tucker miss free throws or green make a horrible decision to foul alen on the and 1 play.
Give up late lead to Orlando. Lose Capella Give up late lead at home to Nets. Lose Gordon AGAIN F**K this season
