I think the Barkely comment about Yao was uncalled for, the guy is really trying hard out there. He isn't always going to dominate every game Charles, get that through your thick skull:rolleyes:

Of course it wasn't a good sign.... but you don't need to be a doomsdayer... that's all I'm saying.

And in the end, what would you rather have... a team that comes out with its head cut-off and gets a 10 point lead early, only to realize that they actually have 3 more quarters to play, and they've just used their big emotional burst on a part of the game that is essentially meaningless...

Or... energy to close out the game. T-Mac+Yao got more rest in that first half than they did in any other game this series... and it definitely looked like it paid off as they finally finished a half strong.

Well he should dominate. That's what a 7'6" #1 pick is expected to do.

As for the T-Mac/Iverson comparo about them "doing their best and everything they can to win, but their teams are just not good enough", I couldn't agree more. But with Charles having been in that situation before, I can see him sympathizing with these two guys. It continues to amaze me that some fans still think single players can carry teams on their backs all the time. Even Jordan couldn't do that alone.

Still, I am pretty pissed about that Yao comment, the guy gets no break. Sure he made mistakes this game, missed FTs, couldn't catch passes, but he plays on a lot of heart and a lot of gutz. It is sickening the guy is slammed by just about everyone in the media.

Yao was near the basket about to score and Josh Howard came from behind and fouled Yao hard while he went up in mid-air (Howard wasn't even going for the ball). Yao fell down hard, looked at Howard- who was like 5 feet away, and walking away from Yao- and made the motion like he was about to get up and beat his ugly a$$ like he was the ugly, red-headed stepson- but Yao had trouble getting up and he fell back down:eek: (Yao was excited).

Then by the time he got back up, Tmac and others were holding him back. Yao was calm but the funny thing, too, was Tmac had like a big smile on his face like: "where you think you're going?":D First time Yao was going straight after someone to fight.

And where was the fragrant call on that? Stupid refs.

Yea... name all the other 7'6" high draft picks who's done that...

Let alone one from a different country...

To blindly ignore Yao's progress makes you just as foolish as the ones who think he's a bust just because he's not dominating like Shaq. Remember, before he was the next Shaq, many here were fearing that he was the next Bradley.

Each time Barkely bashes Yao, we play well.

I feel bad when he is saying anything good about Yao.

I feel good for this game now because of what Barkely just said.

Really not a necessary foul by Sura though Howard is a punkass, maybe he will do something dumb and get a tech.

A tech foul? On Bobby? Was it any worse than what Howard did to Yao?

The better Dampier does, the less Dallas goes to their small lineup... and that's really the only time they've been effective with it.

Well I've seen alot of post season play before not neccessarly BB since the NHl is pretty much dominant where we're at, but the NHl post season is very mcuh structured like the NBA more than any other team sport. Having said that I've wtach teams like that with a similiar predicament as what the Rox are experiencing. And most of the time if the underdog team doesn't show up early our teams usually lose at the end. Just the law of probability in all the playoff games I've experience.

I don't know if u realized they are 3 and 1 against us in close games.

the 2nd game we won by 2 dallas has won 3, 4, 5

so me wanting a big lead as a cushion from start to finish is not too demanding (again since we had all that controversy and losing 2 prior games at home.) than having another close one with the MAVs having all the momentum of winning 3 straight.
