i havent read what everyone has to say...but mike james really hurt us on more than a few possessions down the stretch not moving the ball around and jacking up some really bad shots...and on more than a few possessions neither yao or tmac got the ball at the end...

im not saying thats the entire reason we lost but it was a big contributor to our lack of offense at the end of the 4th..

If you look back to this season, you will find that the Rockets were either in a winning streak or a losing streak. And the wining streaks were always longer..
Yes I predicted today's loss after game 3.
Now I say Rockets win next two in a row.

Great analysis, you should be working for ESPN . Those numb nuts during the 1/2 time show of the Celtics/Pacers game put up a graphic that Yao Ming lost the game for the Rockets along with the score.

We earned this defeat in every phase of the game. Now go out and earn a victory.

Totally agree Dallas makes me sick they get every call just because they have an owner who pays them and b^&tches all the time. Dirk guess what you arent any good this series stop floppping.

Guys -Be prepared for some major T-Mac, and Yao bashing by the media...probably a good idea to avoid the sports page, and radio/TV sport shows today and tomorrow....

I totally disagreed with you, Utah besides dirty and sometimes flopping, is nothing compare to the current Mavs and Dirk Nortwizky. Utah at least has some kind of game besides flopping and whining.

another question for you, how come Utah lost to the bulls 2 straight time? because having refs favoring you is absolutely going to help a lot.

There's not gonna be a hard working, honorable NBA team that can win big, it's sickening to watch some games because the Rockets are playing honorably and playing the right way, but they're the one that's getting screwed.

It's sickening to see Yao tries to play the right way and getting bench by the refs, the Mavs did something 100x worse and dirtier and they got the calls.

We could easily have won both games if we are being treated fairly by the refs. I agreed we don't play particularly well but refs have a lot to do with it.

I still have hope that we can pull this series out - however, if we don't, I think the Rockets will be in great shape next year after signing a new power forward such as Tyson Chandler or Stromile Swift (maybe I'm dreaming but that's ok), drafting an athletic 3-4 like Hakim Warrick, and getting back a healthy Juwan Howard. If Spanoulis or Badiane are good enough to make the roster, that'd be nice as well.

I really think our lack of athleticism outside of McGrady is killing us right now.

"I blame this loss on TMac. Don't give me the sh*t that we won't be in the game without him, or he shot 50%, yada yada yada. He is a MAX player, and was supposed to do what he was doing, and do it the right way"

Fine. Let's go ahead and keep our role players and shop McGrady then....McGrady held up his end of the bargain, the role players didn't.

Which star would you rather have?

    A) Dirk Nowitzki
    B) Tracy McGrady

Which set of role players would you have?

    A) Jon Barry, Bob Sura, David Wesley, Mike James, Scott Padgett, and Ryan Bowen
    B) Jason Terry, Jerry Stackhouse, Josh Howard, Michael Finley, Erick Dampier

I'll take option B in both instances.

Yao needs to play smarter. I know he has gotten some bad calls but we need him on the floor to win. But Dallas does not have an answer for him when he is playing.
If Dirk wants to take some fouls, fine. Put Dikembe in the game (early) and let Dirk take a couple real elbows to the chops. See what happens when he really gets fouled.
T-mac looked beat at the end of the game. This again is part of the reason we need Yao on the court just so we can get T-mac some rest.

We need to play a little smarter (Yao), get Dirk to earn his fouls he takes (Deke), and get T-mac a little more rest so he can take over teh last 2 minutes.

We wouldn't have gone 6 minutes without a Field Goal in back to back 4th quarters. Blaming the officiating is the trendy thing to do but it wasn't the reason why they lost.

Yao is the X-factor. He NEEDS to have more of an impact in the game. Sure he gets 20pts but that isn't enough. People talk about the little things that don't show up on the stats sheet well Yao needs to contribute those little things.
    T-Mac can't do it alone.

Am I the only one who noticed that Sura, our starting PG, was basically sitting the entire 4th quarter, while James was playing horribly?

Can somebody please explain this to me?

James was put in to try and slow down Terry. Didn't work.

James, and Sura manning the PG wont cut it for us. If you are not a star in the league for 10 years, you are not a star. Offensive woes were exposed. Too predictble.
