when mike james could not hit a shot, he was useless. JVG should have brought Sura in the game. but...

We will win this 3-game series. We had the on-the-way court advantage

The last time this series was tied, with a game to be played on the Mavs home court, the Rockets won 2 in a row.

Neither Dallas nor Houston has what it takes to really advance.

Yao needs to play smarter, the team needs to regain it's defensive intensity for more than just the 4th quarter, and they need to knock down crucial shots.

I am as frustrated by the next guy, and had a massive melt down....I care far too much for a team and a game I can do nothing about.

This team should have won the series 4-0, and if Yao could learn how to play tougher and smarter they would be......

He is a 7'6" role player in a superstars body, until he becomes a true Robin to Tmac's Batman the team will struggle on days he does not dominate.

Tmac is a great player, Yao can be, and the rest of the team just need to contribute.....

Got a good series, but I am going to miss the rest over in the UK, very frustrating, but probably for the best.

    GO ROCKETS !!

I know you want to see Yao get 35, all YOF want to see that happen.

If you have watched the game, you will know that EVERYONE in the game played subpar, except for McGrady, and that is why we lost. NBA basketball is a team game last time I checked, right?

You are blaming the guy for getting tired?! LOL! Yah, he is not human, I mean he plays 45 minutes a game, but really, he should never be tired, he should be a robot and fight through it. The guy is only playing with injuries, putting up some of the biggest minutes in the league, bur he should never be tired.

You are pathetic, and your blind bias is just coming through in this thread, now I know where you are coming from though.

All the year long, we have not figured out how to get the ball into the Yao 's hand more. I do not think that JVG will able to get this done in a few playoff games.

How much are we missing Juwan Haward! Without him, Tracy just exhausted in the forth quater, he had to guard Dirk, bring the ball up, distribute the ball and make a shot. JVG could not just ask TMac do everything, then in forth quarter he ran out of gas.

Mike James had to made the outside shot, otherwise , coach should play Sura instead.

the time The momentum was shifted in this game is when they were on a roll but they called a dumb Yao offensive foul and then call another moving screen foul on Motembo. The refree just do not want Rox win

People expect McGrady to be like jordan, but he isn't jordan no had ever had the competitive drive jordan had. McGrady gets tired too.

Yao had 20 pts, 5 blocks in 25 minutes ! We need his ass to stay on the floor for Game 5!

Its going to be hard because Cuban is all up in the refs heads---and Dirk is the Queen of all Floppers....

I think you should be reminded that the era in which the 94-95 Rockets played was COMPLETELY different from the era we are in now. There is now an abundance of talent in the league that didn't exist a decade ago. Therefore, more talent on each team, and therefore, you have to match up that improvement in talent by improving your own talent/depth.

    You get it?

    Comment on the game:
It's hard to understand why JVG put MJ in the game for so long. The guy has absolutely no shooting touches at all. Sura is bad, but James is worse.

    Looking ahead:
As for the games remaining, it's really hard to tell. Maybe we should try to do the following things while keeping up with all the good things we already have.

Feed the ball to Yao more often. Yao has become more confident , assertive and determined. So far he has not allowed frustration to get to him, as he often did in the not-distant past(we call it self-defeat mentality). Aside from poor rebounding, he's done a very good job so far. He's also got better poise. Yes, we lost the game. But Yao did show a lot by shooting two free throws to let the suspense hang in there for a bit. Many of you think yao is still soft. Yeah, the poor rebounding... However, I see a more matured yao now. After watching the past few games, I think we can certainly trust him more and get the ball in his hands more, even in clutch moments. This can also take some pressure off T-mac. I wonder why JVG doesn't use the Yao-oriented offensive set at all these days. Maybe during certain stretches, especially panicky type of situtations, we can slow down and do for a while the old-fashioned half-court, inside-out game, which JVG is so familiar with and Yao was trained to do the whole last season.

Play Deke more. I just got the feeling we should play him a little bit more. Especially when Yao is off-court, he should always be there.

If someone is cold, please don't let him shoot that much except he's one of our stars. Game 3, wesley(if I remember correctly). Game 4, MJ.

    To sum up:
As clutch said,' we get too much credit too fast(maybe not the exact words)'. If we win the series, we will be a tested team(the same is true with dallas) and will be well prepared for the next round, maybe the next few rounds. If we lose, it's bad, too bad. But wasn't dallas predicted to win before the series? We at least showed them we're a force to reckon wtih. Of course, we have some, even a lot work to do during the off season. But no matter how we fans talk about it, in the end, it all comes down to the players, coaches, and maybe, something else.

Right. I'm a YOF. hahaha! I want Yao to help McGrady, I want a tag team effort, I want to see McGrady finish the games and Yao start them. Who gets the glory then? T-MAC! That's the way it has to be for the Rockets to win.

Did McGrady have a great fourth quarter? Did the first three quarters of great play from him make any differense in the score board? Nope. Fourth quarter was the only quarter that mattered.

My point is that he didn't have to be so damn tired, he doesn't have to do EVERYTHING. That NEVER ever works, it NEVER has it NEVER will no matter how much talent that ONE guy has, Michael Jordan tryed to do it and he couldn't either. 47 minutes of letting his teammates help him out worked perfectly for him in the first two games. Trying to do everything these past two games in LESS minutes have been his and the Rocket's downfall.

Dude. Think what you want about me, I see a HUGE difference between his first two and last two games, you see the same guy. That's fine.

What series are you talking about?

We won the series in '95. This series is tied and not over. We won the series in 94 after losing two back to back games in '94 too.

Dallas also lost back to back games at home and the series wasn't over for them.

I don't understand what series you are referring to when you say we lost it.

Again and again, we were at our best when we were discounted. I still like our chances for the series. Go Rockets.

Don't cry, its not the refs fault. The rockets are falling apart like a cheap cookie. It looks like the mavs are going to pull it off. The rockets just teased us winning those games while avery was still learning how to coach. It sucks, but I guess Dallas is the better team. There is always next year. Maybe we can get rid of Sura and Barry and that stupid three point gesture and get some guys that are athletic.

Why do people keep comparing this?? That was a whole different team with Killer Instinct!!! This team doesn't have that, showed that today. The past is the past, we are living in the now.

Because people keep whining and crying that the series is over at 2-2. Some fans haven't learned from history.
