Wesley has never been a consistent shooter through his career, but he is a decent one when you average the whole season out. IMO, his shooting inconsistency has more to do with the defensive assignment he has taken, and his physical style, those takes a toll on your leg when playing that many minutes.

I'm fine with his shooting selection, and we get enough scoring power off the bench to cover that department anyway. His defense is what we desperately need, especially when we play the Suns in the 2nd round, and the Nuggets in the WCF.

Not a easy task. Mavs's back is on wall and they get nothing to loose.

It will be very tough game and we need to play A+++ game to defeat them. The key of the match is the rebound.

    ROX, GOOOOOGOOOO!!:)

I was just watching the Miami game and they interviewed Jaime Foxx. He said he was a Shaq fan and that the people in Miami yesterday were wearing "Thank You Kobe" Shirts.
The Rockets fans going to the game Thursday need to make a shirt, "Thank You Weisbrod".
After he said that, Foxx's voice dropped and he said "Ya im also a Dallas fan, and they are really dissapointing right now ya know..".

This is gonna be a hard-fought one...

Dallas is sure to be hungry...REALLY hungry, and I think Dirk will finally show up. No mercy, no carelessness, be hungrier. I have a feeling we'll need to play a flawless game to pull it out.

    A must-win! Let's do it!!

    YEP!

HUNGRIER and NO MERCY are key. Dallas is wounded. Keep that in mind. They will fight for their lives -- not wanting to be in a 0-3 hole. And the Rox must be ready.

    Stay focused guys! Please...!

I think the best mindset is to expect a close game, every game. Yes, those scary-nail biters! Just never give up! Even if it takes 3 overtimes to do it.

Most of those guys on MavTalk are ridiculous, especially the one you pointed out DavidS. Mulvany is one of those guys that you can't beat any sense into, no matter what kind of bat you use. Uninformed fans that can't have a logical discussion on the strengths AND weaknesses of teams drive me nuts.

I'm goin to this game, and since this is my first time attending a Rockets playoff game, I really hope we come out ready to play and defend our home court. We're really not that great of a home team, but maybe that'll change with the TC rockin like hell. I'm guessing our boys come out a lil sluggish, but once JVG gets on their a$$es, we hit the gas and never look back.

Oh man, I'm sitting in the computer lab in my dorm and these two guys come in and start talking basketball, and it soon becomes clear that they're both Mavs fans. Oh my god, some of the excuses they were making!

I mentioned the picture of T-Mac riding Shawn Bradley like his personal pony and they go off about how "he should be doing things like that against a player who should be out of the league. I mean, when you've got a Viper going up against a Pinto, who's supposed to win off the line?!" HAHAHA, WTF is that supposed to mean? God forbid they give credit to a sick dunk by an opposing player.

And as soon as I mentioned that I was a Rockets fan, they instantly started calling me a bandwagoner, as if Houston didn't have ANY fans until these last two games. They went on about how "the Rockets win two games in the playoffs and they're talking about championships, blah blah blah, at least the Mavericks get out of the first round every year. Houston hasn't even made it out the first round in 8 years!" I love how Mavericks fans were talking about themselves as championship contenders this year, but the team that is destroying them has no chance.

They went on to pull more laughers out of their asses, proclaiming, "Well, Mark Cuban has more money than the entire Rockets team!" I just laughed and said, "Too bad he can't buy himself a championship." So they got all huffy, saying that they'd rather have a lot of money than a championship.

I hope this isn't typical of their fans, because that's just pathetic.

So much for Dallas' vaunted new and improved defense. AJ may have improved it in 18 games, but it's an afterthought to their offense. On the other hand, the Rocket's defense is integral to their identity, something forged in 82 regular season games. He's got a 7'6", 300lb center with stamina problems roaming out to the 3-point line and back to the paint several times a game! You don't see Nowitski exerting more than a token type of effort. He barely even fouls anybody.

This game scares me. I hope we really believe in the "one game at a time" that we've been feeding the media. If there is any ounce of "already in the 2nd round" mentallity we will lose this game and possibly the next. But even in that case I feel the Rockets are at their best when there is a challenge to overcome. Game 3 is in our favor, we are no longer the underdogs, technically. We must not slip up and let the mavs steal this one, they will be playing very hard and relentless.

I can see Dirk taking it to the hole more and I wouldn't be suprised if he has ~16-20FTA. Wesley is due for a good shooting game. Yao will likely have a good game, I'd say 25pts 10reb 2 blk.
T-mac will also have a average game, statistically. (27pts, 6 rebs, 8ast, 3 stls). Our Bench will have a great display of chemistry as they are always hungry and out to prove a point.

    102-96 Rockets

Rockets win, take the last hope out of Dallas and Cuban kills himself.
