Especially when the game is in HOUSTON !!

Where is the home court advantage?

The referees sucked this game, but the Rocks helped them suck.

agree. Just a quick question, can anyone tell me why the heck JVG doesn['t tell them to POUND IT INTO YAO EVERY SINGLE POSSESSION????

I mean that's our game plan right (inside-out). I can think of probably ONE FREAKIN TIME when YAO actually posted up. What's the point of having YAO in there if you don't post up?

    Just doesnt make sense....

Postive side of this game: We never quit!!! The result could have been more ugly. We looked to be on the verge to be blown out with 12 down. Instead we gave us a chance to steal the game. I like this team's mentality. Now, we need to cut down the guard's play. We are hurting on the PG spot.

Yeah but when they finally decided to turn it up, it was TOO LITTLE TOO LATE. Sick of watching this team miss opportunities like they did in the 4th.

It just sucks because I was giving JVG and the players the benefit of the doubt all week long that they would come out focused but I was definitely afraid of seeing what I saw 2night....lack of URGENCY.

I'm a Rockets fan but WHO honestly thinks the ROCKETS will pull it off SATURDAY? I'm going to the game, but after seeing this, I don't think we have the momentum anymore...and plus it's a home game...which worries me like none other....

James yes. Sura, not as much. Sura is trying to finish everything with a floater. Floaters don't get you on the line. James...for the life of me...I don't understand why he wasn't in this game more. The Mavs haven't been able to defend him at all this series. When the 3's stopped falling, I was crossing my fingers that James wouldn't start getting shots.

Yao is asked to set screen, guards take off passing him by as the 2nd option. When our guards play big time, we usually have two results, blowing out the opponent, or losing in a bad way. Also Yao has trouble posting up Damp. But guards at least need to wait for him to put his ass down there. Sura passed him up twice, one was a easy dunk for Yao had Sura passed.

I just don't understand why the Rockets can't just implement the GOOD OL FASHIONED POST UP GAME. Just post YAO up from the very beginning. FORGET THE PNR for a bit. Why is that so hard to do?

YAO has the mismatch and in Game 2 it clearly showed. I was so frustrated watching this game in the 4th and they didn't make it a priority to goto a HALF COURT SET post up game. Can anyone explain this???

Come on now, it's not difficult to score on Dallas. We play better D. Game 4 is ours to take. We just cannot play the last 6 minute ball anymore, becuase that was Dallas's game, not ours. We need to dribble up court early, set up plays early, wait for Yao's ass parking at the low block. 9 of 10 times, we play that way we beat Dallas.

Rockets played gritty, unfortunately Yao faded down the strech and Dallas hit the big shots.

Sad that Yao couldn't dominate there in the 4th qtr after an incredible game 2, but then again, this is his modus operendi it seems

Yeah but do you think JVG will recognize that and make the proper adjustments to WIN on saturday?

Because I have to be honest, I was confident that JVG would have these guys focused and straight tonight..and look what the heck happened...

Whats the matter with this guy? One game I'm totally proud of him for his work ethic....and tonight he doesn't do the same thing.

Forget about the foul trouble for a sec, we should have just established an old fashioned post game for YAO and forgotten about the PNR for just a bit...

the ball definitely should have gone down to yao more tonight, anytime it did go down low, yao either got a good shot or found a wide open teammate. he was passing out of the post well tonight, and the mavs were collapsing on him like crazy.
the rox just need to come out and do their thing on saturday, get yao involved more and maybe play some defense, the secondary players on the mavs got some really good looks tonight.
Keep the faith brothers and sisters, its still on!

We lose one game and people start losing faith. Guess what...the Mavericks were the 4th best team in the Western Conference during the regular season and were one of the hottest teams down the stretch. To expect a sweep, while it would be nice, is probably ludicrous. And guess what, these are the freakin playoffs.... kinda hard to go 16-0 ... ESPECIALLY when you have to go through Dallas and possibly SA to get there.

Now I'm somewhat worried...but then I live and die w/ every shot soooo....lets just say they best come out and take game 4... this team does not wanna go back to Dallas 2-2.

Again nothing new about this team. D.Wes will keep shooting to a point that he quits on himself, which happend in the late 4th when he really need to shoot that open 3.

Tmac is not Jordan-like yet in terms of killer instinct. Maybe he isnt even the best in the league. Cough Cough, Kobe, cough, cough.

Yeah I have faith but why the heck couldn't the Rockets for the life of them implement what you just said TONIGHT???

Why not do the EXACT same thing EVERY GAME? It's not like Dallas' Defensive adjustments would hurt the Rockets. Why revert from the original bread and butter (inside-out)??? That's what is really frustrating.

If only the Rockets can just play the EXACT same way every game....that'll be great win or lose...

I think Yao played well for 3 qtrs. I don't know how many points or boards he has, but he was hustling and putting for the effort.

But he just faded down the stretch....they tried to post him up, and he was turning the ball over and playing timidly. Mercifully, he was taken out of the game. Tonight wasn't about fouls, it was about reaching deep inside and pushing your body to the limits - which Yao didn't do in the 4th quarter.

It is very frustrating to watch.

Exacly. If we could sweep Dallas, that's the best. But you gotta know, they wont go away that easy. With a little bit luck, they got this one tonight. But we had them on the ropes. We just gotta play our ball on Sat. They are freaking jump shooting team, they will shoot 17,18,19 foot no matter what. We cannot play like that, pass the ball to the big guy, let him work.
