Why are everyone so afraid of injuries? Nobody said nothing about injury before, and Rox goes pretty injury free the whole season. I expect the bench to play well. I hope we can rest Yao. Save him for playoff.

    Mavs 44

I think Blatz said Texas teams don't have audio links.

Man we pretty much have our bench out there and the ESPN announcers are trashing our players while jizzing a gallon over the Mavericks treating the game like it's a blowout. It's only a 5 point game. This looks like it's time for my favorite button on the remote.

    MUTE! :D

    Yao Playing small

Antoine Walker stuffing Yao's shot was hilarious. Yao couldn't score against him in the 1st quarter and Walker's D forced an ineffective Yao to the bench. Sean Elliot made the comment of the night by saying I]Well Walker just blew by the 7'5'' stiff Yao Ming".[/I] That was so funny and so dead on. Yao was playing like that in the first qaurter, he better wake up and step up because the playoffs are here.

i haven't seen the whole game but based on earlier posts and what i'm hearing i don't think i've ever seen a team resting most of it's players get dogged harder for not doing well while still completely in the game than walton on the rockets right now. maybe he's surprised our all-world offense w/o steve and cat is being held down by the defensive juggernaut that is dallas.

    Are the Rockets down 50?

    Are the Rockets down 50?

I'm just wondering because I'm listening to Bill Walton and the rest of the broadcast team and you would think that our team was at 100% and getting ran out of the building. Our starting backcourt and PF aren't playing, and our bench is playing and all you hear is that the Rockets are "wallowing" in the 7th spot, are now showing any playoff intensity and are overmatched. And you would think the Mavs were just a machine. After the first quarter Walton said that the Mavericks had a dominating first quarter. It was a 26-25 game. The Mavs haven't lead by anymore then 9th and all you heard was that the Mavs were dominating the game, even though they played their entire team and the Rockets sat 3 key players. It's just annoying to listen to.

Agreed. I noticed the same thing.

It's a product of the Rockets mediocre play over the last month or so - and the general pessimism about our playoff prospects.

A couple of months ago, we were a danger team that could cause an upset. An exhausted Yao Ming and a decline in defense later... and we're 1st round fodder.

    But it's still annoying.

I couldn't help but laugh when Sean Elliott said the rockets were a young team. That excuse got old about 3 years ago. You've got to love Sean's insight
