    no problem.

i agree. just have the feeling that dallas is gonna have an off day tomorrow. it is, however, a day game though... so you know what that means. :(

    rox win anyway.

I hope Najara is not playing. He always kills us on defense. Pretty sad when a 6'7 (?) forward can take our 7'6' center out of the game.

Never should of traded him for Langhi!!!

I think Yao can be even more effective against the zone than against man coverage as long as we get him the ball in transition and for short jumpers. This killed minny's zone yesterday.

This is going to be a humiliating loss.

Mark it down. The mavs have our numbers.

11 point lead after the first quarter.

    15 point halftime lead.

    Down 13 after third quarter.

    Final score:

    Mavericks: 106
    Rockets: 84

Dallas outscores Houston 65-28 in the second half.

I think we take some strategy from the Spurs/ Mavs game and attack the zone. The commentators were mentioning how once you get past your first defender the help defense and defensive rotations are quite weak.

we end up settling for too many stupid jumpers when we should be attacking the heart of the zone taking it all the way to the hoop. Of course taking it inside is always tiring but settling for outside shots wont get it done. I think Yao will have to play big and not allow any second chance opportunities against these guys. If we play like we did against Minny I think we will be fine.. Once Yao and SF3 both go off tom.. I dont think any team in the NBA can stop us.

time for the 2 headed monster (Yao and SF3) to take over this game.. not only score but getting everyone involved..

Im excited about this game and predict a big time win!

    Rox 108 - Mavs 88

    Yao 40pts/20rebs/10blks
    SF3 33pts/10rebs/14assists (2 turnovers)

Go Yao! Go Rox! Go Super Duper Backup Bench Brigade!

Can not wait to see this highly expected game. Rox, let go out there kicking and playing our game. I just don't buy the story of zone D killing us. Strategy is dead unless the players execute it well. My prediction, we at least will win one game of the next two games against Dallas ;)

You want to see why the zone defense kills the Rockets? Here are some words from the best coach in the NBA:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=240220018

The Jazz employed a zone defense for long stretches and dared the Knicks to beat them from outside, and New York couldn't do it as Allan Houston (sore knee) missed his ninth consecutive game.

"We always play teams that way. If we keep teams from getting layups and we get layups, that's to our advantage," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. "We know if we can't handle them in certain situations, we've got to try and make them shoot over the top."

Another challenge, another good game. Rox will win this game, Yao will score 30 and grab 10 boards, Steve chips in 22 and 8 assists. Yao will be nominated for the player of the week for the second time in three weeks but fail to win.

the zone is a real fan killer. In the game against Spurs, Mavs played tight zone in the 4th qtr and totally shut down spurs. They also run offense like 2-minute drive, and drop 40+ points like crazy. We have to D 48 minutes, and if we get a lead early, go for the kill.

ha... Calvin might felt lucky he survived in a plane wreck after this game... ;)

Seriously. It must be a close game come out until last 5 minutes. The key to win is our rebounds! I worry our rebs, especially Yao's boards. -- underachieved in last 4 games(just 23 boards in total) Hopefully we can hold back Mavericks fast break and their raining 3-points!

    Go Rockets!
