i agree with this. LH is no ballhog. he just has no clue what to do with the ball. what was it, in memphis or something, he was point guard for like 3 possessions. he couldn't pass the ball, couldn't drive, so what does he do? he puts like a couple of three pointers up there, but mind you not in transition but him and his defender, who was not doing much else but guarding luther straight up, and bricks them!

luther is great when he has time to set, but the man cannot create his own shot or create for others. he is what he is. i don't think it is close to compare him with someone like mobley. mobley had some iso skills, but not only did he make dumb decisions, he WAS a ballhog. head just doesn't have any skills besdies shotting the ball.

head is a small 2 who is not a PG in any sense of teh word, and forget about pg, he just is not a good passer. if he was 3 inches taller, then there would be some justification for his lack of handles. but people his height cannot afford to have bad handles, the league is too big and too fast. I like head, nice shot, and can come in and do some damage, but when he is in there in the final minute, there is an inherent lack of depth in the system. CD, and Morey, this is where you come in! get that diamond in the rough!

head is not good when there is pressure, and when i mean that, a little bit more of a hand in his face or little bit morecontact on him. he will fry the bobcats alive, but something like dallas where their rotations are quick and they play tough defense, head is not your man. in spite of this, rox can win. thank you tmac, and yao.

I think you need to go back to the second game of the season and check out the stats. Head had wide open shots because Yao's presence and scored 17 pts.

That is what he means. Head could only make the open shots someone created for him, like Yao or T-mac. When T-mac was doubled, I do not know how Avery made Head rush the shot.

To me it seems we only lost because we ran out of time outs...

No it is not. There were loads of possessions where the ball ended up in his hands with plenty of time on the shot clock and he dribbled for 10 seconds trying to do it all himself instead of passing the ball around and working for better shots. That has nothing to do with "decision making." It was like moochie norris had taken over his body for some stupid reason.

He was a black hole last night for the most part. It doesn't mean I hate Luther, I'm calling it exactly how my eyes saw it from my seat in 114. He needs to be a spot up 3 pt shooter who then does stuff like that slam in the 1st half when guys run at him hard. But he was not trusting his teammates last night in the 2nd half for whatever reason.

As far as the last shot I do have a major problem with it. Sorry. There were 11 sec on the clock, and luther had 5 seconds left when he double clutched for a game winning runner? Give me a break. He rushed it, and took a horrible shot in the process.

And juwan howard shot quite a few attempts last night so don't tell me he wouldn't have potentially taken the look to win the game, and I know battier isn't lacking in confidence in that regard either. But while rafer sucked again, luther head needed a cozy spot on the bench in the 4th moreso because he was not interested in passing the ball last night.

Um if you can't pass and you shoot every time you touch the ball, you by definition are a ballhog or black hole, take your pick. And luther can pass the ball. Not as well as others who play his position/s, but you do not make it to the NBA shooting the ball every time you touch it.

alright guyz ive had enough of this. We can do so much better than this if we played smart. luther head chuckin up shots at the end did not help. But not just him, our supporting cast just is not strong enough to contend against these teams. Even wit yao our bench is still nothing compared to san antonio or suns. That will be our downfall. Somebody say something to boost my confidence of this team back up plz.

That is where I don't agree. I was watching the game on TNT so couldn't argue too much about Head's game. One thing I can clearly tell is Howard is degrading. Less aggressive on the boards, less shots when he was open (I see him passing the ball to others more often now when there is clearly his chance to take the shot), I am not sure if he was playing through an injury over the last few games. For the last possession, the ball went through his hand and he chose to pass on, so did Battier. Nobody even thought of a strong move to attack the basket, when a freaking foul could bring us a win at that moment. I had zero problem with Head took the shot, at least he had the confidence---I do wish the ball could be delivered to Tmac but it looked very difficult, by the way, Tmac said in the postgame quotes that guys need to attack the hoops when he was doubled, that was exactly Head did, he just did it in a wrong way. The way this team played in the final moment was so pianful to watch, guys like Head are exactly what we lack, that is, players with a killer instinct. Howard, Battier had the ability to attack but they folded, (I am not drawing the conclusion from only this game), they are players who play well if the stars play well, but seldomly they had the confidence to take a big shot. So I really had no problem with Head took the shot, as he was too short to attack the basket. And I may add that, no other guys in the current team beat Head in this killer instinct catagory, Tmac and Yao included.

Juwan Howard shot the 2nd most attempts last night with 13. Battier only had 4 shots, but 7 free throws. These are veteran NBA players who are not going to take players off the dribble and score. That is not their game. So I think it has nothing to do with confidence as it did where they got the ball and the time left on the clock.

If head say drives, and kicks to shane in the corner, or howard for his patented jumper, they would have shot it for the win.

eey but FAn To fan luther got to confident in that last shot he shoulda kicked it out tah tracy n we waz missin free throws but over all . we woulda killed em n i think we were tha better team imean we held them AGAIN UNDER 100 POINTZ SO DATS PRETTY GOOD. BUT LOSING ISNT GOOD N EFUFF. CANT WAIT TILL YAO COMES BACK. MY PREDICTION WOULD BE IF YAO AND TMAC SCORES MORE THAN 22+ A GAME WILL DO FINE. IF YAO CAN KICK IT IN DRIVE AND DO WAT HE HAS BEEN DOIN AT THE BEGINING OF THA SEASON WELL WIN THE REST OF THE WAY MAYBE EVEN THE FINALS CUZ SAN ANTNIO AND GINOBLI IS FALLING OFF

What I don't understand is why JVG used up all of our timeouts when he knew it was a close game and we may need to save one..thats just ridiculous...we had 4.2 seconds left and if had a time out we could have set up a play from midcourt....

Finantially, there is no way to get any decent pg (7M a year). Sura is good for a backup guard who will be in the same level as RA.
