What do you mean its good to be king? Did he say VSpan was the answer? I didn't see the press ocnference, but I doubt he said that.

I was at the game and IMHO the reason we lost was quite simple...

    1. we could not hit our free throws
    2. we let both Stackhouse and Dirk hit back to back wide open three pointers; the two by Stackhouse IMO lost the game for us as it was a six point swing and turned the momentum of the game.
    3. poor execution down the stretch, the last three or four shots we got were horrible. we need to get better looks then that if we want to beat the elite teams.

Oh well having said that, we really missed Yao's presence in these types of games. Even Jason Terry in a pre-game interview was asked what is different about the Rockets this time versus the first game when we won big and he said "they don't have Yao, and he killed us..."

I'm one of the mobsters against Rafer, also. I think the reason Rafer is still setting up this team is because of the record and JVG's mentality. JVG's mentality is much like Lovie Smith's. Bears doing well WITH Rex Grossman at the helm. Everyone knows he's sorry, but they don't want to "mess with the chemistry" of the team that has brought Houston today's record.

Rafer has the "Rex Grossman Pass." That is: even though you stink, you are part of the team that has achieved this nice record. Of course, we all know what happens when you insist of giving someone such a pass...luck will run out, and you lose in the playoffs.

A little bit of the RG Pass and the fact that there are no available options at the point via trade might be two of the major reasons Rafer is still starting.

haha be my guest. Rafer's a nice guy, but he needs to realize what he's good at and develop a consistent game.

    6/8, 2/10, 1/8 and today 2/10.

These are the shooting % of Head against Mavs this season. Beside 1st game against Mavs, with yao played, Head's shooting has been horrible! Looks like he is completely exposed in front of the mavs.

Of cause I m not blaming Head for this loss but these are numbers that the rockets should look into! Head is pretty obvious having problems with Mavs' defense why not try other alternative like synder???

Because without Rafer's defense, Terry would have burned us for 20+ pts.

    Thanks richter911.

JVG doesn't seem too unhappy with this loss. In fact, I get the feeling that when he plays teams like the Mavs and Suns, he's not really trying as hard to win these games as figure out his strategy for the post season. I'm probably wrong though.

Howard, Alston, Head took a combined 33 shots, hit only 10. 33 shots are half of the total shots for the whole team. It is hard to win game at that rate.

Even so, we almost won the game. In another hand, we still have a lot needed to improve. We are a team transitioning from good to great.

Im settling down a bit from my anger. Its been beaten to death but we really need another back-up PG. Luther is too turnover prone against good defenses at that position.

On a side note, Lebron just had a sick dunk against LA on a fast break. He got fouled and practically jumped over some fans.
