The decision making in the waning minutes is not going to fly in the post-season. At this point I wouldn't mind a Tyron Lou who can just bring the ball up and not turn it over.

On the bright side we didn't get blown out. :(

Not sure what Luther Head was doing on the second-to-last possession. His layup attempt was wild and nowhere close. They should have gotten the ball to McGrady. (duh)

I have no idea what's wrong with McGrady's free throws, but he needs to fix the problem.

That was lame P&R defense by McGrady which let Jason Terry get free for the go ahead bucket.

Tough loss, but not an especially bad one.

blame blame blame all you want. b****, b****, b**** all you want.

The Mavericks are better than us right now, especially without Yao.

You want things out of Rafer and Head they would not have the pressure nor the expectation to provide if Yao was there.

That's like getting down on Adam Everett last year because the Astros offense struggled.

Yes, Head and Rafer made some frustrating decisions. But make your free throws and we're not even having the discussion. And were not having this discussion because we don't have Yao.

Even if we have Yao and play them in the playoffs, who is going to deny the Mavs what they covet this year? These guys are WAAAAYYYY better than the 1995 Spurs, so don't come back with that comparison that the Rockets can take anyone out.

I believe the Rockets CAN take anyone out in the West if they're fully healthy...except Dallas.. and that's not a bad thing. They'll get theirs this year perhaps... But live it, because we're getting there this year, we'll get into the 2nd round (maybe upset PHX/SA in the semis) and hopefully only have to face Dallas in the western conference finals..

    dikembe mutombo for president.

Just last night, Luther made some clutch plays to close out the game. Tonight, he needs to remember whose team this is. But the bottomline is -

    Rafer 3-10
    Luther 2-10

just isn't going to cut it against the Mavericks.

    We wasted a
    Terry 2-10
    Stackhouse 5-14
    Buckner 1-4

    defensive effort.

All this said, we played the game the right way all the way through until the end. Once again, we can always hope that Yao will make the difference when he comes back.

We couldn't get T-Mac the ball. Luther Head had to shoot, cause no one wanted it.

God, I just can't wait to get Yao back. Can you imagine how badly we could have destroyed to Mavs tonight if we had him? I hope they develop a sense of security against us, because we're gonna shove it back down their throats in the playoffs.

Van Gundy didn't help matters by playing the same lineup almost all of the 3rd quarter when they couldn't do anything offensively. Dallas was almost begging to buried by 15 points, but instead the Rockets did nothing until the Mavs finally made a run.

The good news is the Mavs' strategy down the stretch cannot work with Yao Ming in the lineup. You run 2 or 3 guys at T-Mac to deny him the ball, Yao will drop 60 on them.

I wish we did not expose our weakness to other teams in the league tonight.

It was supposed to be the golden opportunity for our players to step up given the way Mavs played us at the end of the game. They just freaking double team TMac and leaving other open and our other players could not make a basket at all.

Rafer helped lose us the game. Seriously...his decision making in crucial moments simply boggles the mind. Head going for a low percentage shot for the win. We lost because we couldn't get Mcgrady the ball. Just frustrating as hell to lose a game like this.

Good game, Dallas showed their depth.......rockets need to practice freethrows during all-star break.
