I despise the Mavs, and thanks to Les screwing Rocket's fans with his Comcrap TV deal, I am stuck with them on Fox Sports SW. I once was able to see all the Rockets games.

James Harden played well. He scored points and dribbled the basketball. Chris Paul is also a human being who was physically running on the court. Great contributions from other players, especially that one player who made multiple shots.

Technically, he has to clear waivers before becoming a free agent. Any team can claim his full contract off the waiver wire, but no one will...unlike Tony Allen, who is being paid vet min, so he'll likely get claimed.

Here's how Larry Coon explains it:

Waivers are a temporary status for players who are released by their team. A team initiates the waiver process by "requesting waivers" on the player they are releasing. The player stays "on waivers" for 48 hours (including weekends and holidays), during which time other teams may claim the player and assume his contract. If no team has claimed the player before the end of the waiver period (which is always 5:00 PM Eastern Time), he "clears waivers." The player's contract is terminated and he becomes a free agent.

If more than one team tries to claim a player on waivers, the team with the worst record gets him.
Also, I'm pretty sure that buyouts can be contingent on the player clearing waivers. So, no one claims the full contract. So, buyout players usually clear waivers and become free agents ... but that takes 48 hours.

Quadruple OT win by the Rockets, after coming back from down 29 points.

man the Spurs are trash. You wonder when the Warriors will lose again looking at their schedule. We're going to have to finish the season on a streak if we really want that 1st seed.

Rockets need to go 19-9 to end the year with 60 wins.

They started 25-4, and since then are currently 16-9.

Little Ponies are actually playing fairly well. All NBA teams can have a hot night and beat you. Rockets have to bring the heat.
