Les Alexander has GOT to be seeing the same thing millions of fans are seeing...he has to be at least be contemplating a t-mac trade right now.........that's why I hope the team keeps losing so it will put more pressure on the management to get him out of houston....winning a few games just puts a mask on tmac's lack of heart.....

I dont think there will be any winning going on...this team flat out sucks. Tmac is needs to go...or everyone else needs to go including the coach...if we dont trade Tmac, then every player except for Yao, Scola, Brooks and maybe Bonzi should be traded. ;)

Send Tmac, Alston, Head, and Landry to the Jazz for D.Williams. :p

^^^if they don't turn it around soon they might be headed for the Mayo sweepstakes.............not making the post season is very realistic with teams like

S.A, Phoenix, Dallas, Utah, Lakers, New Orleans, Golden State, and Denver ahead of us..............

    the problem is mostly Tmac...

Jvg... even though he drove us nuts with his player rotations...player minutes...somtimes offensive and defensive schemes...

bottom line is Jvg won us 50 plus games last year

thats with a bunch of scrubs... big stiff Yao.... and so called superstar Tmac

but bottom line most of us knew we were not going to win in the playoffs unless Tmac went Jordonesque for us... but he didnt...

and when he didnt the excuses came out....

the big complaint last year was Yao clogged up the middle so players like Tmac couldnt get into the paint...

    so

what is the excuse this year?

RA was brought in to open up the offense...bring the big stiff out to the top of the key to be more of a passer...

I was all for it if it ment bigger numbers for Tmac

what was that to do open up the lanes for passing cutting shooting layups dunking....

question is who should this benefit the most... who controls the ball the most....who is suppose to be our most talented player on the court...

the way I see it is after our 6-1 start... Tmac relized that "hey this is work"

and decided to go on cruise control...expecting scrub players (and they are scrub players... I have always said that) to pick up his slack...

Ill agree he should have went after a guy like PJ when he wanted to come over and coach the Rox...

he made a mistake thinking the Rox had the talent to run a Princeton offense...

(i bet you did too... last year when Yao sat down... and Rox played that fast break type ball)

but bottom line is he is the owner of the team... if you dont like what he is doing... it dosent matter... unless he sells the team... its his to do with what he wants

WOW... did Tmac really say this... the guy who plays like he is "the man"

everygame? demanded to be traded from Toronto so he could "the man"

time to trade Tmac before the GM's read his comments and drop his trade value....

The sad thing, if the Rockets got Mayo, they would trade him away for some "glue" guy. Remember Rudy Gay, and how nice it would be to have him right now!?

Correction: Your opinion should be that the most current surface-level problem is T-Mac if you see T-Mac as the main culprit for our state of affairs.

I have no problem with your argument about T-Mac but my point was that the T-Mac problem, the Adelman problem, the Rafer problem etc... all stem from a deeper, underlying issue.

Do you remember what we gave up to get T-Mac? Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley were the heart of it.

We would be in even worse shape if you replaced T-Mac with Steve Francis over the past few years. You can complain about T-Mac all day and probably be making valid arguments.

How much more did you expect to get for Francis, Mobley, Cato, etc...? Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant?? C'mon now.

Truthfully, we got a steal in getting the soft-hearted, ball-chucking T-Mac for the even worse ball-hogging, point guard-skill deficient Steve Francis and an aging Mobley and an overpaid Cato, etc...

That deal was actually one of the few good ones Alexander pulled off. Still, it was only a fix for a series of previous poor decisions, including bad draft picks and terrible contracts that cost us cap space for years.

If you are blaming it all on T-Mac, no problem but how did we end up with T-Mac. Trace back the series of events over the last 10 years that led to our current state of affairs.

Then, look at a good organization and trace back the decisions that they made over the last 10 years...

The bottom line is that Alexander did well to form a couple of win-now teams. I applaud him for his short-sighted, high-spending moves. After all, Houston did win back-to-back championships.

But, today, we should be able to see that as good as Alexander was at bringing us short-term success, he is equally inept at building long-term success.

The draft failures, the budget-killing, inflated contracts for so many overvalued players and the additional failures on many draft days all have to fall on Alexander's lap.

Just like we point at T-Mac for failures on the court, Alexander is the guy that lacks the leadership to allow this organization to succeed.

At least T-Mac stepped up and tried to put it on his shoulder, even if he failed and will ultimately fail in the end.

Alexander just continues to make a series of mistakes then patch it up with a quick fix here and there. That doesn't work and ultimately leads to situations like the one we are in now.

Trade Francis for T-Mac and expect all the other mistakes to be cleared up. That won't work.

Fire JVG and bring in Adelman and expect all the other mistakes to be cleared up. That won't work.

And, now Alexander is questioning why this team is not living up to expectations.

I say he looks into the mirror and studies his own track record. He thinks he is infallable because he brought his championships over a decade ago. Maybe, you feel that way but I am living in the now and what I see is an owner that lacks the aptitude and foresight to build a winning franchise over time.

Maybe, Les needs to stick with Wall Street and animal rights, because I truly don't think he is capable of long-term success in this industry. He may be able to learn from his past mistakes and right the ship but I doubt it.

I don't hate the guy. He is a business man that wants to succeed in this industry and I believe he likes to win just for the sake of winning to some extent, too. I am sure there have been many owners worse than him. I just want someone better even thought that is unlikely with a cash cow like Yao in town.

Let's just hope that he learns from his numerous mistakes or decides to make far less basketball decisions.

right... if given the chance, I bet TMac would opt to join up with D.Howard in a second.
