Just as I worried, a different TMac turn up on court when Rafer is out. No one really pick the slack and give a fight except Yao.

Yes, there was LESS talent last year. The bench last year included Deke, Luther, Juwan Howard, and that's about it.

What's proven to be lesser this year is the lack of structure, gameplanning, adjustments, rotations that make sense, and playing like they're awake.

We are quickly running out of combinations of players and lineups to try to kick start the offense. If guys don't start hitting shots, we are rapidly approaching the time to look into trade possibilities or simply chalk the season up and work towards next year. I know this sounds like loser talk early in the season but I don't see us finding an adequate offensive lineup to beat good teams and certainly not in playoff series.

It about caring, and sometimes I don't think he really cares if we win or lose. He sheds a few fake tears and talks tough on TV but when the stage is set and we as passionate fans are expecting him to perform.................he fades away behind the curtain and we are once again let down.

Last year, somehow this "same starting 5" was statistically the best starting 5 in the league. So again, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It's obvious we overachieved last year, so why change anything?

And by change anything, I mean changing anything they're trying to do with the same starting 5 that overachieved last year and is somehow still starting.

The Houston Rockets are the best at the league at:

Blowing leads and giving up when behind. Word.

a revitalised deke and jho who were hungry off the boards and luther then the 4th best 3p shooter in the league was a whole lot better than what the rockets are now.

    Nice tag, hermbob.

Can you also tell me how much Les Alexander is getting paid for each bad decision he makes? That number would truly be astonishing!

You are right. It's about having a winning and killer mentality. He's shown it here and there in the past but the great bring it every night, because the guys around them need to see it on a consistent basis.

We're kidding ourselves if we think we can possibly be elite with the starters that we have. TO BE AN ELITE TEAM, YOU NEED ELITE PLAYERS, not scrubs. We have two scrubs in our starting lineup, and our elite players often don't show up.

T-mac has got to be a better team player (not even expecting him to be the leader anymore) by putting in the effort/hustling more... Even Clyde Drexler in his last year as a Rocket showed more energy going after loose balls.

With T-mac, as long as he's a little less than 100%, he shows it to the whole world, walking gingerly/grimacing. You rarely see that in the likes of Kidd or Bird even when they're playing through much worse.

As for the smiling after blowouts, this is nothing new... He's been that way when he was in Orlando. I think he's the type who doesn't like lose after giving it his all probably bec he'll look uncool so what he'll do when he feels like they'll lose - he'll quit/look for excuses.

Well by the Levono stat, what I'm saying is this starting line up is trying to play in a different system that does not suit 2 of their starters. Deffensivelly yes it's probably the best they've got(Statistically) but if staistics relud the game the Heat should have gotten swept by the Mavs. Having hayes in the high post does not work in RA offense. And altough it may not be broke that starting 5 didn't get out of the first round with homecourt advantage.

That's no good example. Rodman is one of the greatest defender and rebounder of all time. Jordan didnt make Rodman better. Rodman is always just himself.

I agree. Tmac leadership skills suck. He is a great individual talent and could be so much more if he learned to win at team basketball and to be the leader he is paid to be. Sometimes that might mean getting T'd up, going aggressive to the hole to prove a point, or showing confidence in his teammates. He needs to accept responsibility when we lose and look at it as his responsibility to lead us in the right direction. He could be some much more for our team, that is what is so disappointing.

Jordan did helped DR control his temper. A better example would be that Kobe and Shaq made each other better(on the court).
