VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT GAME in my opinion~

Even though we got .500ish record, we have beaten all elite teams, include Spurs, Suns, Jazz, and Pistons... Mavs re our NEXT TARGET argh!!~~~~~

    Rockets 103

    Mavericks 95

    GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

This is another game we need miracle to win probably. Everyone should practise very hard on shooting and FT then we have a chance. If Steve tailbone has recovered he should be sent out to court if Rafer is not playing up to par. I
hope Yao will end his bricking today and go back to his normal %FG against Mav.
Yao last score 30pts on Mav. GOOD LUCK.

mavs have been playing bad lately, but... so were we. this is going to be either a very ugly game or one team just blows by the other. i hope our role players heats up especially mike james and francis. we need those 2 pg. especially with jason terry killing the rockets most of the time.

    My take:

Slow start, fall behind by 12.
But, defense keeps us in an ugly JVG game.
Spend 3 quarters making up 10 of the 12.
Tracy & Yao dominates the last 3 minutes (defense & offense).
    We win by 3.

    Heart feels better.

I hope Skip and Luther can contain the Rocket Killer, Jason Terry. Stopping the penetration is the key in this one. Stop them with our defense, then our offense will fall in place. They have no one that can guard either T-Mac or Yao. One or both should be having a big game.

Again, expecting an L but hoping for a W....

    Toronto L (embarassing)
Philadelphia L (hideous; Yao calls the team soft after this)
Detriot W (predicted L and we deserved an L)
    ============
    Dallas L
    Orlando L
    Denver L
    Chicago W
    Detroit L
    Memphis W
    Toronto L
    Golden State L
    Boston L
    Orlando L

    (14-19)

Hey, I'm curious, who's the leader of Rockets now?
in recent news, it seems that all the media and coach admitted that Yao would be now the leader, is that true?

then how about the players? Does T-mac think so, too?
    Bonzi?
Does the team begin to have some chemistry that working on each other now?

If answers all "yes", then we should win!

We "deserved," to lose? Why because we bricked free throws? If the Rockets make their free throws they win by 10 instead of 3. Still a win.

    Can I change to this:

    Toronto L (embarassing)
Philadelphia L (hideous; Yao calls the team soft after this)

    Predicted:

    ============
    Dallas L
    Orlando L
    Denver L
    Chicago W
    Detroit L
    Memphis W
    Toronto L
    Golden State L
    Boston L
    Orlando L

    Toronto L (embarassing)
Philadelphia L (hideous; Yao calls the team soft after this)
Detriot W (predicted L and we deserved an L)

    The prediction:

    ============
    Dallas w
    Orlando w
    Denver w
    Chicago W
    Detroit w
    Memphis W
    Toronto w
    Golden State L
    Boston L
    Orlando w

The Detroit win will be a milestone for Rox who finally understand Defense is still the key for her to win the game. When Yao plays better defense in a slow ugly game, we always win.

The last game we played well in was Denver. Since then, we haven't played well at all and could have very easily lost to Detroit. I'm basing my predictions on what I think is most likely event based on our last few games although the 14-19 is clearly not most probable. For example, say we have a 49% chance of winning *every* game in a season of 100 games. We would be right to predict a loss in every game; however, our record would be much closer to 49-51 than 0-100. So even though individual game predictions may be okay (we can quibble here :) ), the aggregate is probably closer to 2 or 3 games under .500 rather than 5 games under .500.

As for the playoffs, I like the site coolstandings.com. It projects 46.1 wins (9th most in the West ... just out of the playoffs) this year with a 67% chance of making the playoffs.

Hoping we can churn out a win. We know that Tmac and Yao will bring their game. Let's hope Bonzi hits layups like we were playing the grizzlies. Man Francis has seriously disappointed me...it's heartbreaking the way he's been playing. I hope he finds his rhythm and gets more comfortable with the offense. I don't care what anybody says, WE NEED HIM to play if we're gonna get far.

either the Mavs always bring it or the Rockets just choke when they play each other...They should have won the last game...

    Rox: 115

    Mavs: 110

Could be one of the only teams playing as poorly as the Rockets.

    Rox 95
    Mavs 85
