last year, we could not finish a fast break. This year, orlando Rockets are leading league in fast-breaking points and #1 in the East. Phx Suns are the second in fast-breaking points and they are #1 in the west. We should dump JVG ASAP.

That was T-mac's feeling during the trade.

His attitude could have changed from that point on to this point right now 1/4 of the season being over. No?

You make it sound that his feelings of playing with Yao is static and unchanging.

With a 1/4 of the season passed and Yao still stuck at or even regressed from last season, T-Mac attitudes toward's playing with Ming could have changed drastically. Since he and Ming are the only tradeable assets on this team maybe he has developed feelings that the only way this team can get better fast based on the contract and players restrictions this tream has, is to trade Ming for people that can play umtempto and not the slow down low possesion game deployed by JVG for a Yaocentric offense.

Yao was suppose to be dominant this season to take away from double teams on mcgrady but he seems to have regressed and still making the same mistakes like in the first 2 years.

This is not a diss on Yao but like I said since these two are the only tradeable assets on the team, and with Ming struggling mcgrady could have changed his mind on playing with Ming let alone not having him traded.

Frankly, I still think Yao-T-Mac is the foundation of this franchise and will bring champs to Houston IF we have the right coach and Yao IMPROVES (T-Mac is already a top-5 player, period). I am just annoyed that some YOFs always claim "yeah, Yao sucked in the game but he is still the second best center....."

I'm going to call into the JVG show next week and ask JVG who is the shooting coach. Sometimes JVG doesn't get the picture until someone blurts it out. I asked him about zone defense and the pick and roll defense with Yao. It sounds like he might incorporate a zone later on. It's time I point out that his staff is very poor in terms of teaching the players how to shoot.

Do you know what time and day the show is on?

I think every question in that hour needs to be about his offence and how he sucks the life out of every offensive player

I concur about the (extremist) YOF's.

As for Yao improving (cross our fingers) after allstar break let us hope he has those weeks of dominant play like last season.

If not a serious trade possbility with him should definantly be entertained.

With Yao, Houston is kinda lucky in 2 parts.

If Yao succeeds in being a franchise player that is of course good for the organization but if he proves to be a bust as a superstar Houston has nothing to lose. Why?

Becus there will always be West coast teams, GS, Cipps and Possibly Lakers that will trade good players for him bacause of his marketibility even if the Rox sign him to a max deal.

So with Yao Houston has alot of insurance regarding his development which can not be said of other potential superstars. Let's just hope this organization develops some brains in squeezing out every player they can get for him if indeed he proves to be a bust (as a superstar).

But judging from past performances from the execs of this organization that is a large task.

bottom line........3 PF's who have horrible contracts that can't play + no sharp shooting will equal what we have now, some good games a lot of bad ones. I don't care who the coach is.

I'm hoping it comes on in the afternoon. However, it varies.

I'm definitely going to ask him who he has on his staff working with the players on their jumpshot. If it's someone rebounding the misses and just passing the ball back to the player, that's not a shooting coach. Even an elementary student can do that. Who knows shooting mechanics like the back of his hand? Is the person who is helping the Rockets with their shooting also a good shooter? Someone like Mark Price would be good at this. Mark Price should not be used to teach someone how to post up. Is Ewing the shooting coach?

relax he's not a bust...still recovering from a long and hard summer. give him a few more weeks. Plus, he's not going to be traded; if anything I think everyone on this team will be traded away (including T-Mac) before Yao. He's untouchable.

Mo was one of the most dependable perimeter shooters last year. Yao is now airballing jumpers. This is a teamwide affair.

but when you play the slow down game you only expose your players weakness. Last year all francis numbers went down except the turn overs, in the years prior when francis put up 20,6,6 you could live with it but 16,5,5, got him traded. now the rockets got what they wanted guards who don;t turn the ball over, but can't create there own shot(except tmac).

This is not last year, and you're right this is a team wide affair, but if you don't have role players to cover the "superstars" asses, the weaknesses are overexposed.

Ok, I need to get this out of my system.

    WE SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE CAN'T SHOOT. WE CAN'T DEFEND. WE SUCK.
    WE ARE MAV'S BIAAATCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Now I feel a little better. I need to stop letting rox ruin my nights.

Mav's own us. I don't know what it is, their players just like to go off on us. I am actually surprised bradley didn't get a double double on us.

If this is a team wide affair, the Rockets need to can everyone like what the Astros did last year. Hire the NBA version of Gary Gaetti.

He's tradeable for us BBS members, self proclaimed GMs ;) , but not in the real world, where he is growing as big as Jordan [though he may not play to that calliber].
