i didn't get a chance to read your posts before I did mine but we share some of the same thoughts.

Yeah, Don't expect the mangement on this team to ever get it right even if they have just recently smartened up. The Handcuffs they placed on this team is their doing and probably going to be their undoing.

Surprise, surprise. Rockets lose to a better team. Dallas has always and as long as they have Dirk Nowinski will always have a good game against Houston. Their just too fast and have too much quality depth. If Houston got some scoring out of the rest of the team we would had made this a game but Dallas is clearly better. There is no reason to bail out on the season because of this game.

I will not bail out on the season cuz the rocks have a lot of soft teams comming up. the rockets need to stop letting teams with less talent (knicks, hawks) stay so close with all game long.

I'm agreeing with both of you... the decisions made ever since the failed Pippen signing have been reactionary and made with no basketball "expertise" whatsoever.... they've just been goin on gut instinct.

    Sign Cato to huge contract.

    Sign Mo-T to huge contract

    Sign Moochie to huge contract

(these three deals alone hampered this team's development in from 2000-2002.)

Now, Yao and T-Mac practically fall into this team's lap (I give no credit to the GM for these... Yao was the obvious 1st pick in the draft, and T-Mac only wanted to come here because of him... and he had to announce that before we ever decided to go after him).

JVG is part of the problem... but he's not the only guy out there mucking things up.....

    What exactly is CD for?

When Rudy was here, he was pretty much calling all the personel decisions... doing the 3 for 1 for Griffin, drafting Nachbar, etc. Now, it seems that JVG is making more of the decisions, getting his old Knicks into the fold (which he will ultimately take full responsibilty for... he's already apologized for Ward).

CD needs to make a basketball move that is actually smart, based on GOOD scouting, and makes us all go "whoa." Pulling off the T-Mac deal was impressive, but it wasn't a hard move to make. When the Mavs trade guys like Antoine Walker... or the Kings exchange Scott Pollard for Brad Miller... those are the types of deals that ultimately make a GM great.

Right. The Mavs were lights out shooting and they made the Rockets "shooters" try to beat them. You can't win when your roll players can't hit anything.

I know Yao is still going to get more s**t talked about him but I felt like he played pretty weel despite his shots not falling. He had some real nice blocks and looked good going after his rebounds. I like what I saw from him tonight.

Hopefully the cupcake schedule will be good for the team and thier record.

I guess JVG didn't give a rat's a** about what TMac felt about speeding things up on offense. Same ol' slow mo out there again tonight.

Lamar Odom + Mihm for Yao + Mo

    The salaries match up.

I'm getting tired of watching this team.

Before you suggest another stupid trade like that, do realize that T-Mac came here ONLY because of Yao, what do you think he's gonna feel if we trade away the second best center in the league.

The seat of the pants stuff started in '96 with all the injuries and no one stepped up. So, they were shipped out four for Barkley (Willis and Price).

And it has gotten progressively worse since.

CD. What is CD? Is he THE MAN or is he the front man for deals. What role is the owner playing? The coach? Personnel folks? Who is getting heard on decisions?

This team is flat out bad, and a regime change is the answer, the only answer.

They need to do an Isaih, but with someone better than IT. This place needs a clean out from top to bottom.

Q: What is the top, and where is the bottom?

Remain positive. It may not seem that way, but I'm fully confident the Rockets season will get better. The best is yet to come.

Are you serious Odom + Mihm for Yao and Tmo ? What the hell are you thinking. Yao can eat them alive!!

The problem it the coach and no matter how many trade u do u still stuck with the same offense if that how Van Gundy system is.

Right Now !! 1st Change Coach if that doesn't work then trade who ever the hell they want.

    Now the Rox!!

:) :(

Can we stop this "second best center" non-sense?? For God's sake, he is 35th in scoring and 21st in Rpg in NBA right now. I don't care whether he is the "best" center or not, but he is not playing anywhere near what we have expected.

Is it a surprise that Calvin Murphy's legal troubles coincided with the team's lack of prowess from the perimeter? Who in the heck is teaching the Rockets on how to shoot? Who is telling the Rockets what to do if they have bad shooting mechanics? It's no longer Calvin Murphy. Is it Ewing?

It's called the TRUTH whether you like it or not, T-Mac came here beacuse Yao IS the second best center in the league.

T-Mac came here because he expected Yao to be a top-notch player, not to be some second best "center".

He did come here because of Yao but I bet he thought Yao would play better and more consistent than he has.
