Rafer had a wicked pass to Luther late in the game made me rewind quite a few times.

The couple in red at the half time looked pretty good/cute. Go rockets!!!

Hotballa, Troy is a part owner of Wingstop and has been doing these commercials for quite sometime. These are mostly shown locally here in Dallas so you probably never got a chance to see them. He's always made commercials for Acme Brick, another local DFW business, for several years now although those are somewhat old. He also makes commercials for his Ford dealership. He's not a "dirty ad w****" but a smart businessman. He's also a really great guy in person unlike other professional athletes who play or have played for the Cowboys. It's a lot like what you'd see if you travelled to Denver where you'd see a boatload of Elway ads. But I don't begrudge your dislike of the Cowboys. For an organization that hasn't done squat in 10 years, they are insufferably arrogant.

What an awesome game. I was really skeptical after that Jazz game. It was great to see us play up to our potential, nice to see Bonzi finally on the court too. The remote had a hefty workout last night with the Rox, Longhorns and Aggies all on at the same time. Yao looked awesome, i really hope he stays healthy, he will have a HUGE year.

Did you WATCH the game? Did you GRASP what they said happened to TMac before he went out?

In case this has never happened to you (it has happened to me), TMac received a lacerated tongue, which probably required stitches (don't know the details of that yet), and this is among the most painful things in the world to endure. The tongue is extremely sensitive, FILLED with nerve-endings, and his entire head probably felt like one big blast of constant pain after it happened. It's no wonder he missed his 3 straight free throws immediately after that.

Clyde is right, it will take about 5 days for the pain to go away. His behavior after that, his sitting on the bench, etc, was not because of his back or anything like that. It was because he was in excruciating pain, our team was blowing the opponent out, and it was just not necessary for him to even be in there. Had the game been even slightly close, have no doubts he would have been out there swinging.

But man, it's true, you really are a downer. Are you even a Rockets fan?

yep, I once bit my tongue really hard (it was an eating accident :D ) and it was bleeding rockets red and swollen and tender and brought tears to one eye for about 5 min life sucked..then after that it was just an annoying pain.

I agree with you that it must be painful, but TMAC's freethrow problems were evident even before this game. He shot poorly in the preseason too. Also, when he came back in the game, he still shot jump shot after jump shot. I don't think its any more painful to drive to the basket then it is too shoot a jump shot. I want him to take it to the hole....Maybe i'm mistaken and his injury happened before or after all of that? I was at the game, and didn't even know what the problem was with him. I'm just glad its not his back.
The crowd was awomse and I think we are on the right path.
Tmac will be fine once he finds his groove. He had a nice stretch of hitting 3 straight jumpers.

Even when he took it to the rim a few times and missed, we followed up for the offensive reb and scored witch was promising.

    Keep it up tongight!!

I feel inspired. Excited to watch again tonight to see if my inspiration is justified. I've always thought following a sports team is "emotional gambling" and for those of us who are heavily vested in the rockets with our time spent, well, we are riding a high, which paradoxically is the time we should "sell", but I bought in when the rockets were low and I'm in for the long term. Lets see what these guys can do.

Got beat by the Jazz, but Rocket the MAVs. Lets look closer to the Mav rocking bc it makes me happy.

Shane and Chuck played solidly w/o it showing up in the box scores, Shane especially. Seemed he was always there taking the charge or defensively doing what it took to kill any Mav's momentum. Chuck was in there banging, loved to see him knocking people around going for the offensive glass. (And Bonzi did much of the same banging when he finally got in the game).

Yao was amazing. Funny part is that he is always like that. Really. Honestly. The difference being the team seemed more geared to get him the ball, and get him the ball, and get him the ball. And also, Yao seems like he understands this needs to happen more. All those recent quotes where he says I need to shoot multiple times in a row... yes, yes yes, and then again and again.

Rafer had a great game. Starting off by hitting two threes really pumped him up w/ confidence. And where did his D come from?!? Any one have any comments on that? I'm not sure what he was doing different, but his D was awesome. From reading the game quotes seems like the team was gearing to shut down J.Terry, so maybe Rafer's D was aided by a team plan to shut down his man. And I say that to take nothing away from Rafer's preformance on either side of the ball, Rafer has a superb game!

Concern about McGrady? Not for me. Mc Grady is the leader, the floor genreral, and I'm am 100% ok with him having low #s in a blowout of any team we play. Reminds me of Jordan having an off game, but using his skills, and the threat of his presence to get the other players involved, and he is there, of course, to take over the game for a play or two when necessary. Tonight, not necessary. True, TMac hasn't looked like a youngster attacking the basket with reckless abandon. He looks more like a floor general who is using the threat of his presence to create for other players- his rocket passes and how he attracks attention on the court. If the stop doing that he will just score. McGrady is now our super powerful chess piece. Please excuse the gender misrespresentation, but McGrady is the queen on our Rockets chessboard. And Yao is the new king. Getting Yao into the game takes full team involvement, but McGrady is and will always be quicker and more powerful on his own, the most powerful peice on the board, much more powerful as a potential threat with a low box score that enables the team to win by 30 than an overused piece that gets big #s and one in L collumn. I have no doubt TMac will do what it takes for us to win many many games this season, and that he will take over games when necessary. Loved his court presence tonight. Thought he did excellent.

Kirk off the bench got lots of minutes was solid in his contribution of rim attacking. Here is our reckless abandon. When watching him, I think he needs someone to work on his shoulders. Sometimes they look to me like they are attached just under his ears. Let them rest down on your ribcage my friend. I'm looking for this to happen as he feels more comfortable with his roll on the rockets. For now he looks wired. I'd love to see his rim attacking energies come from a more grounded place. Other than that esoteric observation- Kirk also had a solid solid game. Got right to what took him three quarters to start to do in the Jazz game, which is get to the basket, get fouled, bring positive energy to the team. I think Kirk is a huge spark for this team. With sights set on McGrady and Yao, a pesky Kirk slashing through your D is a, "what, who is that, what is happening", for the other team. Head seemed to bring the same. Wow, did Head get hot to polish those Mavs in the 4th, unbelievable. Again, Kirk and Head have excellent energy for the team, and both can contribute buckets of buckets playing off the more established threats of Yao and TMac.

I for one was super excited to see JHo get in the game. It angers me greatly to hear people tear him down on this board. JHo is a solid player and it is totally unfair to tear him apart for being anything other than he is - solid. Hustles, a big body, can play 10-15 from the rim and knock down his J pretty consistently. He will give us solid minutes this year. JHo, Chuck, Bonzi all impress me with their tenacity. I can't wait for JHo to have his chance to make a solid game contribution where everyone on the team will be patting him on the back crediting him with a big shot and an important Rocket win. Not that I'm saying we should run plays for him in crunch, but when someone drops off him he can make them pay. JHo may not see the minutes he saw the past few years, but s'mon guys off the bench he is a good contributor. I'd like to hear more people admit this.

Novak and KillBill, I bet it gives the team more confidence that these guys are on the team. A world class shooter and a defensive death intensity go right at your throat I want to kill you I am scared of no one my favorite player Spinoulis. I'm excited to keep watching to see them get more minutes as the season progresses. Bonzi too, but on a faster time table than the rookies.

Lastly, I am now looking for us to show that we can keep focus and play solid in a close game. When I see that I will starting thinking significant title run, dare I even state the possibility of such a thought for spoiling it w/ premature expectations.

I downloaded the R2K video but I can't see it. I hear the sound but I get no visual in windows media player and realplayer says it can't play it. Anybody have any tips or is there any thread dedicated to this kind of problem? I'm way out in Spain and I MUST see this. I'm so bummed I didn't get to watch the Rockets hand the Mavs their asses. :(

Great, great win...Yao was f'n amazing...T struggled, but when one is not hot, the other has to be...It was an important win, IMO, and liked what I saw...

Getting the lead and keeping it...Rox teams in the past would have let them climb back in and they really surprised me...Of course, it helped when the Mavs couldn't hit the side of a house, but I'll take it...

They didn't show a lot of highlights on TV, but unless they win, its like that...

For some weird reason...it show more time than is really there.

the vid *should* be 9 minutes 40 secs

it doesnt really matter....the last thing on it IS a shot of Cuban looking mighty disgruntled. I felt it a fitting thing to end the clip with. :D
