    Considering that the Rockets were near the bottom of the NBA the year before Yao was drafted, and have been a top 5 defensive team virtually every year that Yao has played, tends to go against your point.

    Yao is no Hakeem, but he has become a very good over all defender. Deke seldom played.

    All team NBA and All-Star doesn't mean crap now adays....

    More about marketing than what you do on the court. Back in the day it was about your play, now it's all about marketing...

    We have had this discussion in the GARM many many many times... Yao is a good player.. about it..

    Chase has had a good start to the season, but this game obviously shows that he is a rookie. His shot was off, but his shooting selection after realizing this was equally poor. I'm glad we have backup support, but we need another proven scorer.

    And who was the coach then and who was the coach that molded them into a defensive team...

    Come on.. Give me a break.. Not a big JVG fan, but he did a helluva job with the defense.. Go back and look at what Clutch stated about the defense the last couple of years.

    Nah it is clearly Yao and Tmac's fault, if we traded them for expirings we would have won by 20 points.

    Good game for Ariza, he did well trying to carry the team, he needs to get used to it.
