    This game highlights how our defense has slipped. It hasn't been talked about much because the Rockets have done well and looked good this year, but they've kept up because their offense has looked good. Their points allowed and defensive FG% has slipped to the bottom third or so in the league, after being in the top 5 like the last 8 years. Having that defensive presence in the paint (Yao, Dikembe) really played a big role.

    Dallas' bench hit 15 of their first 16 shots! That is crazy hot.

    Can't feel bad about our current situation. Dallas has always torched us in streaks, Nowitzki, Terry, etc.The only difference now is that Yao is out, and our interior presence is severely diminished.

    We're a team predicated on ball movement, and none of our guys are "out of the blue" shotmakers like Nowitzki and Terry are. Those guys heat up, everyone else gets license to light it up as well. Look at Dirk. The guy just makes quick unstoppable fallaway jumpers, which translates to the rest of the mavericks not having to work hard on offense.

    Our guys have to work hard on offense and defense. Give them a break.

    well morey was rumored a lot to be trading for baron last feb. it didnt work out or something but morey was after him. baron, if hes motivated, is a top 3 pg in the league.

    and butler is just having a hard time fitting into the new coach flip saunder's system. it just doesn't fit him. kinda like how battier is COMPLETELY USELeSS IN adelman's system

    He's on the Rockets, so he's OUR boy Chase. He's struggling. Hopefully he can get over it.

    Anyone notice that the Rockets ALWAYS play out of sync (discombobulated) when they are coming off of a Long lay off? It's good that they get the extended rest, but man, the Rockets are the rustiest team coming off of a break in the NBA.

    Coincidentally, the last time they played at Dallas, they were coming off of several days off as well.

    Conversely, this team has done quite well this year on the tail-end of back-to-backs. Interesting huh?
