It's not like the Rockets were on fire last night either. They were stuck on 81 points in the 4th quarter for 6 minutes. They do need a few more pieces even after they get Dwight and T-Jones back, but there's no way they struggle to score like that(or give up so many damn offensive rebounds) if they're at full strength.

Can we see them being healthy before we make any assumptions. DM tries obviously to add depth but i want to see our awesome defense with TJ and Dwight.

^^man look at all that free space around the court! No court side seats and no media on the base line. The court looks much better that way and the players get more breathing room for when they jump out of bounds.

Maybe I'm overrating Dirk, but I've seen him absolutely dismantle his defender on one-on-one matchups.

I don't think Dirk plays this bad again.

Yeah, but it isn't just Dirk playing bad. Houston gotmhim out of his comfort zone and in his face defensively.

Sure, he can score 40 while being defended well, but good D can also slow him down.

Dirk's career trajectory is in its downward arc.

Not to mention Dirk has historically struggled exponentially more with a taller wing player on him than a traditional PF.

I saw a good chunk of that game Ariza/Papa/Harden ended up guarding Dirk when D-Mo was not. That combination of those types of defenders has always bothered Dirk in the past.

Kudos to the Rockets defense for keeping that in mind.

What a great win, Harden was just a great. I heard a comment from Avery Johnson on ESPN last year. He said that Harden could win a game by himself for you, but Ed Griffin could not although both were great, when he was talking the MVP race on ESPN. By the way, I thought Avery Johnson likes the rockets for whatever reasons.
