they took him out after playing 27 min. i found that odd. That can be their excuse; their star player sat for a few min in the 4q

Every star player sits out for a few minutes to get rest. Harden's defense on Dirk at the end of the game was just amazing. Dirk is 7 inches taller than him.

We didn't have Howard and Jones for even a single minute. We haven't made any excuses for our defeats.

I'm one who thought we would get blown out -- and I've never been so glad to be wrong. Toyota Center was turnt city. I haven't missed a home playoff game in 2 seasons, and I think the crowd tonight was more hype than at any of those games.

Harden is just too good, man.

Missed the game but I think it was probably one of the more impressive wins of the season.
Particularly glad to hear that Dorsey (finally) played well in limited minutes. Hope it continues.

I have to say though, I really hate how incredibly dependent our offense is on 3 pointers. The success of the season pretty much hinges on whether they're falling or not, which is just a scary proposition to me.

I thought Dirk got away with pushing Harden down after he scored an and 1, at some point during the game, and then Parson didn't really make a play on the ball when he fouled Dmo.

I think DM does recognize this. It's going to be hard to get another player who can create shots for themselves and others.

I was not as predicted because I thought one team would surely go slightly over 100 but close game in the end

Why do we feel the need to gloat after a win and be pessimistic after a blowout loss?

    Is there no middle ground?

My intention is not to gloat at all. I know we have many weaknesses. The Mavs are making excuses about being b2b.

It was a good win and Harden was dominating as he should.

Man, that pessimism before the game, speaking about blowouts was just too much.

I always thought it would be a close game because what is at stake.

Blowouts usually do not happen against rival Texas teams, SA or MAV

    I am pleased

Rockets won not because it was a better team than Dallas but because of their desire to win. They fought not skillfully but very very hard at the last minutes. Very impressive but ,i am afraid ,not enough on the long run . They have to many weaknesses.( No true PG, weak front Line)

A very fine post. I was pleasantly surprised to see us playing with confidence despite being undermanned. I hope Ariza will start hitting his shots, and for D-Mo to continue playing well. We are too dependent on James.

I hope this win, will be a good confidence booster.

I wish we would have held on for a blowout... But game couldn't have ended better!

Parsons was reciever exactly like he should've been! Boo him during the game, then give a nice ovation during the tribute. But he was so obviously affected my coming back. Every single time he got the ball in the 4th he freakin got rid of that thing AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Just imagine if we had Howard and Jones, this is proof of what I've been saying for months now... If you truly believe Dallas is better than houston, you don't know **** about basketball! We're better inside, we're better on the perimeter, and we play better defense! It also helps a lot when we have the best player on the floor in 90% of our games!

Clutch freakin City baby!! I hate the hell out of Dalles!
