It means you go out, impose your will and know exactly what you're trying to do on the court. Everybody knows their roles, knows their assignments and goes out and executes the gameplan.

So far this season the Rockets haven't been doing that consistently.

WOW! After 10,000 simulations, AccuScore predicts that Houston is the favorite for tonight! (51-49, though).

It predicts:
Yao Ming- 25.7 points and 8.5 rebounds
Dirt Nowitzki- 24.4 Points and 9 Rebounds

It also think Bonzi will have a nice game 15.8 points and 7.4 rebounds.

Hopefully it's right!

Umm...okay. You can't even see abs on the human body until you get to less than ~8% body fat.

Top 5 Things to Watch: Dallas vs. Houston

1) Fast Pace = Advantage Dallas
Dallas is scoring 103.5 points per game and is more comfortable with a high-paced game, although Houston will run too. The faster the pace, the more it affects Yao Ming in the transition defense. That is where Dallas will benefit. However, you have to take into account that Dallas is playing the second of a back-to-back. Sure they had a tremendous win last night in coming back from 24 down against Toronto, the second largest comeback in Mavs history, but tired legs could be a factor, especially since travel was involved. Don’t be surprised if Dallas uses its bench a little more early in the game.

2) How long will it take Tracy McGrady to get back in the flow?
Anytime a guy misses practice or a game, there is always an adjustment period. In the coach’s thought process you have to make a decision on how many touches a guy gets early in the game and then the minutes played. Who does he start off guarding? Does he guard a primary scorer right away or do you let him get in the flow of the game and then as it progresses you put him on a tougher defensive assignment?

As long as T-Mac puts on a uniform, he is going to get a high volume of shots. With each superstar there are certain games that they pick and choose when they have the scoring burst. I would assume he might start the game off looking to get his teammates involved since he has been out, and then as the game progresses, try to take the game over.

Most importantly, T-Mac’s return will help out Yao, who has been seeing different defenses. Anytime you have two great players on the floor at the same time, it opens things up for each other.

3) Will the recent emergence of Luis Scola be affected by McGrady’s return?
Scola is a new player to the NBA. He is going through the normal adjustments. A lot of people talked about him for many years coming over and playing in the NBA and now that he is, as any first year guy, even though he is an older veteran, he is going to have his ups and downs. But when a guy has a couple good games or you can see that he is starting to emerge, you want to try to build off that. Although the minutes will change because McGrady plays such a high volume of minutes, I’m sure they’ll want to keep his confidence going. They need what he provides.

4) Dallas’ defensive matchups – Diop/Dampier on Yao and Howard on McGrady
When Erik Dampier was out earlier in the year, it changed how Desagana Diop had to defend. He couldn’t get in foul trouble. Now you have two guys that in reality are both kind of starters. It allows them to be much more physical in the post with Yao with six fouls apiece at their disposal.

As far as Josh Howard and T-Mac matching up, Howard is one of the most aggressive defenders in our league. He loves to take on challenges. Although he has been an All-Star, to me he is the x-factor almost every night that Dallas plays. As an opposing coach, not only do you have to worry about him as a defender, but you also have to be concerned on those nights when he is scoring as well. He is one of the unique players in our league who has length, size, speed, quickness and strength combined, which is what you have to have to defend a guy like McGrady because he is so long and so skilled at his size. In Howard, you are getting a skilled defender against him who is highly competitive.

Dallas is a team that does a good job of taking you out of what you want to run. A big key is can you keep both those guys off the foul line as well as try to increase the volume of shots of some of the players that don’t get a high volume of shots.

5) Can Bonzi Wells counteract the play of Dallas’ bench?
Bonzi has had some huge games for Houston and they need him to have a big game because Dallas’ bench scores and provides them with a big boost, especially Jason Terry (20.3 ppg). Bonzi is a guy who can score both in the post and out on the perimeter. They need a consistent game from him tonight.

Howard is one of the few 3s in the NBA that has the ability to cover McGrady, and Diop has done decent jobs on Yao. We will need great bench play and even team scoring to overcome the Dallas onslaught. It will be tough to keep up with Terry, Harris and Howard as always.

This read reminded me how good Dallas can be at taking you off your offensive game plan. Or maybe they have just been good at taking us off our offensive game plan. They are faster than most teams they face and like to push the ball just to get the Rockets out of their comfortable half court sets. This is really a bluff though as they are essentially a half court set offense type team run by fast guards. They are a great fast break team but get most of their best looks when running their spread offense, and they know this. They will try to outrun you but if you run with them, they will slow it down and allow us to play half court defensive game which we excel at. Transition defense, on the other hand, has been our most glaring weakness thus far.

T-Mac is back so our win streak is gonna be back on track. Its tough playing dallas but Yao got a few days off and T-Mac's elbow seems to be 90%, which is good enough to play. I am looking for Yao to shoulder the scoring since t-mac is not 100% yet. Yao will finish the game with 29pts -11 boards and 6 dimes. T-mac will score 20 pts. Final score rockets 104 -102 mavs.

If Mac comes back, we have a chance, but I expect Yao to have yet another horrible game as he will get shut down by Diop.
